Wax, in particular, monocrystalline wax, what does monocrystalline mean and why use that type of wax, what are it's properties?

I think I understand monocrystalline to mean made up of a single crystal composition.

I have a block of it here, and it is a sticky unmanageable lump, but I have to make something useful out of it for casting in glass.

Any ideas, anyone know how to manage this stuff?

Word of the day by Aneirin.  Anyway, did you know a company patented the idea for waterproofing garmets with monosrystalline wax?
No idea how you cope with it...or make something.
Interesting to read about it though.
