Ladies,
Other than not having the all to familiar organ pic on a profile, what kind of pics are you most interested in seeing? Business atire? Swimsuit? person in Collar or other BDSM wardrobe? Or any other?

As many pictures as possible! I like to look closer and from all angles. Nothing rude or disgusting, please. Something that shows you having fun.

i think it's nice if there is a pic at all, but i do like to see a face shot that shows his eyes and smile.

oops, didn't see this was on ask a Mistress.  i'm not a mistress, but i did answer it  as a woman and what i like.

I like to see two: one of the head and shoulders, and one doing something that is a hobby, or a favorite pasttime.
 
I find nudes offensive, pics with other people offensive, smoking and drinking pics offensive, collar and cuffs do nothing for Me as they are not My collar and cuffs,---butt shots I find boring as well.

Oddly enough, I like a mixture.  I think a face shot is best, if the person is comfortable with that.  Also, I have this fondness for vacation or theme pics.  Often, the pics with a pet (the actual four-legged variety) will catch My attention, but that's only because I think the pet is cute.  I do admit to liking seeing at least one pic relating to the BDSM interests, whether that be in collar, restraints, rope, or whatever.  It confirms that, 'not just living through the screen' catagory.  Definitely different clothes in the shots.  At least one shot (with clothes) that is from the waist up, to get a feeling of the person's size.

As long as the pictures don't seem to say the following:

1. "My only endearing quality is the ability to be naked!"

2. "Hey, I bet nobody's thought to take a picture of themselves in their bathroom mirror before..."(Granted, my first picture was next to the wall in my bathroom...  I can defend my hypocrisy by saying it was the only room with proper lighting. >_>)

3. "Hmmm...  There's no rule that says I -can't- look like George "The Animal" Steele in panties"

Then they are generally OK by me...  Of course, I'm not a dominant nor am I looking for anybody...

I'm with the others on this topic - face shot, showing you smiling; maybe a few of you doing a hobby that you enjoy or with animals.  I don't mind pics with other people as long as it's not a kissing pic or something.  Oh, and a pic of you where you are smoking, drinking, or look stoned is an automatic "hide profile" inducer.

I tend to avoid any profile without a picture--being unable to post any picture at all is a sign that our lifestyles are going to be incompatible.  I have no use for someone who needs to live 24/7 in a closet, metaphorically or physically.

Genital nudity is not legal on CM, so it won't end up on your profile regardless.  Never send a genital photo to a woman unless she has explicitly asked to see it.  You may never hear from her again if you do.

Other than that, I personally respond to a wide range of photos which accentuate a person's interests and best features--both the physical and the personality.  Maybe you have beautiful muscles, or special tattoos, maybe you have wonderful eyes, an endearing smart-ass smirk, fabulous hair, great legs, a sense of humor, or an erotic dream--show me what you've got.

Unlike some ladies present, I can honestly say that I most definitely AM interested in your body.  I like to see your skin, and I am more than happy to know that you look great naked, especially if I'll be spending a lot of time in your nude presence.  As a woman and a photographer, a classy nude shot of yourself impresses me in a positive way.  It tells me at minimum that you're comfortable with your sexuality and your own skin--that is a rare gift and I treasure it in a person of either sex.  If it's actually a GOOD photo, it also tells me that you've probably worked with other photographers before, and you know a good photo from a bad one, which definitely boosts the likelihood that we can at least become good friends! 

The only negative I have to contribute here would be to ditto the women here who say that you should NEVER, EVER post "couple" photos of yourself with another woman--even if the other woman has obviously been cropped out--unless you are posting from a couple's profile that involves both people in the photo seeking play.  I do not work with cheaters or people who are disrespectful of another's feelings/privacy in my photography; I am completely uninterested in even being friends with a cheater in my personal life.

I like to see the face with a smile or at least interested in something.  I don't like those stoned-faced poses.  Give me a bit of insight into what's going on in your world.  I want to see the eyes most definately.

Anyone is welcome to post anywhere on these boards, as long as in TOS guidelines....feel free to keep posting, lol!!!!

As far as for me, I especially like if they are involved in other hobbies, such as music or anything that is Not BDSM related.  It helps show they are possibly multi-faceted.

By the way if you're not smiling I just sit there and go why are you so unhappy/mad/ect.

Hello,
I just want to point out that just because someone does not have a picture does not mean they live in a closet 24/7. I have no problems showing a picture of myself however I do not wish to have a picture up on CM for multiple reasons. The first being who says I have to post a picture on the internet? I have no problems showing a picture to people who talk to me and whom I can have a conversation with. In addition it is possible that some people do not have many pictures of themselves. I am not a photo nut, nor am I one of those people who my friends and I all have to take pictures of each other. Personally I have no problem going out and being myself however posting a picture on a website is not my opinion of being myself and showing that I am a real person.

I realize I am not a mistress however since others have answered as well. As far as liking ot see them personally it doesn't matter, I'd prefer a face shot and then a full body shot. Also as a caveat I'd rather have them emailed to me or sent over some form of messaging device that me and someone else are using to communicate so that there is a "better" chance that the picture they are showing me is accuate (A senseless, silly illusion I know).

Well just my two cents.

This reminds me that I need to get my own pictures updated! It's long overdue.

Pictures I do like: 

Ones that show a person's profile (if they are shy at having their face in full public view.

Ones that intrigue me and make me laugh - that have me guessing at where they are, what they're doing (perhaps in pursuit of an interest of theirs), etc...

Ones that seem as if they actually want to connect with the person viewing them.

Pictures I dont like:

Nude ones. If I want to see nude pictures of someone I'll ask. The time for me to see your manboobs is when I cut your clothes off or ask you to take them off for me.

Pictures that have clearly been taken in a dingy bathroom of a person taking a quick shot to slap on their profile late at night after a trip to the pub. It smacks of seedy and, "I'm doing this b/c I've been blown out yet again".

Well, this thread is directed more towards the Ladies...but shawn already barged in and dipped his bum in the punch, so what the hell? [;)]

I'm with Shakti, I rarely bother with profiles that have no pics, unless I've already gotten to know the person in some other venue. I'm comfortable in my skin, I'm out, and I'm not unreasonably paranoid. I hope my friends and partners can share the same view.

I don't really care much what the pictures show so much as you don't have weird MySpace angles going on, and I like there to be a face shown. Helps with taking someone seriously.

And I agree with Shawn...Kitties in pics are always a plus [;)]
