I remember the first BDSM picture I saw. A nude girl on her knees, arms behind her back, wrists and ankles cuffed, collared with a leash leading to a well dressed man's hand standing in front of her. Her eyes fixed to his. It was then that I knew that others thought the same way that I did! What was your first picture?

For me the trigger was in words, not pictures. Arthur Ransome's adult books about travels in pre-revolutionary China. I had read his childrens books, which have more than a hint of D/s about them, liked them so looked him up in the adult library. I was 8 yeaars old at the time; which may explain a lot!

On the cover there was always some scantily clad female with big breasts straining to get out in various forms of what we consider "play". Some were tied, some had a knife to their throat, others had their hair being pulled... they fascinated me then, and the thought of them still turns me on today. I have thought that perhaps exposure to these images from an early age made me into a masochist... who knows though

I was in college. My roommate and I wanted to go see Night of the Living Dead on Halloween. Unfortunately, it was on the other side of the campus, so we asked if anyone on the guys' side of the dorm wanted to go (escorts and all that). It ended up that nearly an entire floor of guys wanted to go with us - weren't we LUCKY? So... we got to the auditorium in which the movie was being shown. We sat there, the two of us girls, flanked by the entire 6th floor of guys from our dorm. And the lights dimmed. The movie began running - you know how irritating those trailers are!! Anyway, there was a close up of this woman sitting on a couch telling the viewing audience why we'd all just LOVE her movie and why we should all go see it. As the camera panned back, there was a guy between her legs eating her out. We were MORTIFIED!!! We shrank down into our chairs, but with an entire floor of guys surrounding us, we couldn't leave very easily at all. They were hooting and hollering...This was NOT your typical black and white Night of the Living Dead movie! So anyway, the movie cut to a scene which to this day, stands out as perhaps the single most exciting scene I've ever seen. There was a girl in nothing but a corset on all fours on top of a table (kind of like a surgical table). The table and floor surrounding the table were covered with a pristeen white sheet. The girl was ordered to remain in position of all fours, but to put her hands straight out at her sides, palms down. On top of the backs of both hands were placed small glasses of red kool-aid. She was ordered not to spill a drop. The punishment for spilling was to be flogged (or whipped, I can't remember which, but think flogged) by this big burly executioner kind of guy. And then... they proceeded to play with her - inserting things, playing with her clit and ass...all designed to make her cum. My roommate sat there with her hands over her eyes... The guys from my dorm were just joking with each other calling for the start of the movie we'd come to see. And I was riveted by what was on the screen. I wanted to be her. I've never forgotten that scene. Probably never will. It's been 30 years since I saw that trailer. I WISH I could find the movie. I still even recall its name - Marachino Cherry. juliet Oh yea...we did end up seeing the movie we'd come to see. My roommate watched in rapt attention. I don't remember the first picture, but I do remember reading a story about the Patty Hearst kidnapping when I was young (pre-teen? around there) and getting phenomenally turned on at the description of her being tied up, in a closet, and one of her captors pinching a nipple. I kinda wish I could remember the first bdsm picture I ever saw, but I know I was having those fantasies before I even knew what bdsm was.

Hm, good question. I can't really answer it, but I remember loving the Playboy cartoons which had any hint of power imbalance as many of them did....secretary blowing boss, old rich guy with hot young girl, etc. Sex always seemed to me like something that had to be taken, extorted, or otherwise gotten by force or guile and anything reflecting that vibed with me. Love the comment above about pre-revolutionary China.
