So, I'm in a situation that many slaves dream of- my master wants to collar me. My problem- the collar.... I love those little vinyl or leather collars that you can wear around the house or wear out (as long as it's ok for you to do so in public) but you can take off when you need to go to school or work. They're adorable... However, my master is a fan of those little metal collars that you can wear any time because they look like a necklace. The problem- not my style- I like smaller- daintier jewelry. Him getting me this big metal necklace is like my future husband getting me a huge diamond (like i said I like small jewelry) So my question- how many of you HONESTLY like your collars? Who feels that their collar actually matches their personal style and doesn't feel like a compromise of this sort may lead them to wear turtlenecks in summer?

I love my collar.  I told him I'd wear a damn shoe string if he wanted to put it around my neck, although I confess I like my collar better :).

He allowed me to be part of the selection process.  I searched online for various "necklaces" that could serve as a collar, which met the criteria he gave me, and I would email him links to each possibility.  I must have sent him over 100 links.  Finally he narrowed it down to his preferred 10 and had me rank them in the order I liked them.  He made his selection based on that.

Here are a couple of sites that might help:

Just Metal

Teno/Boccia (where mine was selected from)

Tiffany also has some cool stuff (thanks to LA, I take this seriously now!)

My best to you... One can be really creative in what is selected as a collar.

When I had a collar, it was one I fell in love with and suited me perfectly. Valyraen has no desire to buy me something that I won't like wearing and I believe he intends to have one custom made with my input when the time comes.

Have a talk with him and see if you can go shopping for the collar together. Sometimes a particular item, even though it usually wouldn't be your style, can attract you.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned- the collar MUST lock (his stipulation not mine) which narrows the choices :-p (and which is also why I fear turtlenecks in summer)

You can find some very beautiful locking collars if you put the effort into it.

Enjoy shopping!

I've always admired the ones on http://www.bondagecollars.com/ , especially the gold lockdown collar that's now on the home page, but there are similar ones in pattered silver.

I'm not going to be to much help lol.

I would not wish to wear a collar personally. Things on my neck bug me, make me itch and make me feel up tight. They also mess with my OCD a bit, since with myreaction to them I wouldn't be able to get comfortable or to stop feeling itchy and antsy. I don't even like shirt collars touching my neck. I don't wear necklaces either for that matter.,

Any one I was in a relationship would respect my intense dislike of things on my neck and wouldn't require me to wear one.

i love my collar - broad black leather, lockable, with a large steel ring at my throat (for leashing me, if my Master desires to.) It is a work of art, custom-made, rounded edges, beautifully tooled and hand-crafted.  i am not permitted to put it on myself, only He places it around my neck - when we are apart i miss wearing it.

i have three collars from Master that i wear, only one of which i have to take off for work
i do have more collars that Master will switch out when He chooses to, one has a lock
another collar Master uses is much wider and has rings on it and He will typically use that when we play
but i do love all of my collars,  and Master has great taste...they are absolutely perfect

I love my collar.
But it's a simple silver necklace that looks like a very tiny chain. He picked out three different ones and asked me which I liked best. I can't remember if he got the one I liked best because, regardless, I like this most out of anything he could have given me.

One can also make a simple chain like this lock, but adding two larger 'split' jump rings to the ends of the necklace. The lock will then fit through those. So, even if one opened the clasp, the lock would continue to hold it on. If that makes sense... Split jump rings can be found in any craft store that sells jewerly making supplies. :)

I love both of the collars that he allows me to wear (they belong to him and not me).  He made both of them specifically for me.  One he calls a dress collar and the other is used for play.

As a symbol of his ownership, though not a collar, I wear a silver chain with a kitty cat charm every day.  The necklace is not allowed to be taken off without his permission.

this was what I wanted. You can find many beautiful lock charms, I liked the heart ones. Then a gold chain, any works, as long as there are links, and gold jump rings (like a key ring) search "gold findings".Use the lock charm in place of clasp.
also, check out Tiffany and Cartier  :)

i love my collars - all 4 of them!  whether it's my metal to leather or my new one - i'm proud to wear them wherever i go in public.  there are times when i don't have to wear my collars when i'm around my family.  still, i don't care if anyone stares at my neck (especially when wearing the metal collar) - i love showing them off no matter the season and weather.

I opted not to purchase an actual around the neck collar. The way I figured it, it's just a symbol of our relationship and doesn't need to be an actual physical collar, just something tangible. Besides, there's always the concern that a big bulky collar can't be worn all the time. Sure, daintier necklaces are more subtle and feasible, but I didn't care for those So instead I opted for matching black titanium rings.

It's uncommon, though not unprecedented, for the master to wear a collar along with the slave, and she means the world to me so I wanted to show off my commitment to her as well.

Incidentally, she absolutely adores it. Both of them.

You're welcome :)

The thing to be aware of is the titanium looks kind of like chrome on website photos, but is actually a silverish/grey.

I especially like the braided leather with titanium pieces in them.

Love the everyday public collar, and the actual physical collar, i never use to like the physical one but, then after time spent without it due to the long distance aspects of the past, i grew to value it more with everywhere....

I love the look of the screw down chains on bondagecollars.com. It's hard to find a collar for a guy that will pass in a vanilla setting. Even the hard metal ring type tend to stand out on a guy. Those chains though would be perfect, nobody would think twice about it.
