No regrets!

I second this. I would change nothing.

I would have drank even more booze, taken even more drugs, and had even more sex than I already did. Oops... that's three things, isn't it?

Im glad you got clean.  Life is more then scorring the next hit. I seen on tv the rap pics as meth heads were arrested- you can see how they age-- become the walking dead.

It takes alot of strength to be where you are.

I once ran around so zombied I could barely not get into trouble.

-i backed off- these days the little things -i appreciate them. my family too has noticed.  while it wasnt as extreme as meth- i guess we all have our dragons....

christine1 -> RE: You have the power (1/22/2008 4:33:46 PM)

i would have finished college and pursued my singing...but instead i got married at 19 to escape my adoptive mother and things just went their own way.  i have 2 gorgeous children from that marriage though, so i know that through fire and adversity, beautiful things are and can be born.  the older i get, the less regrets i have and i'm learning to just move forward and think of the future.

RCdc -> RE: You have the power (1/23/2008 3:06:00 AM)

This is Darcy

While it's true that there are choices I could have made differently, that by taking these alternate paths I might have made my life easier, have been wealthier, and perhaps have indulged my dreams a little earlier than I am doing now, I still wouldn't change anything.

I am happy with who, what and where I am right now, and to go back and erase my mistakes, my failings and my 'wrong' choices might change something that would prevent me from having reached this exact point that I'm at now.

So, to echo the.dark (but in my usual overly verbose way), .notathing. [;)]

For me I would have gotten my Master's degree and followed a different career course.  For someone else I would have been more diligent in my Mom's health care and in listening to my gut instincts during a pregnancy.

to go back and change one thing on your life, what would it be? Why? and how would your life be today as a result?

I would have loved myself more.

I would have found a way to keep my foreskin... they didnt even ask when they took it, they just took it

This is why I refused to let them mutilate my son... He got to keep what the Good Lord gave him. If he wants to have it lopped off later, he can bloody well have it done on his own. I did not want that on my karma.

So he is a "Caped Avenger" as we call them. LOL

~ on a personal note of change.. The things even the bad.. ok esp. the bad has made me who I am. If I had some fluffy life of no problems, trauma or troubles I would be a totaly different gal. So I am me because of all the shit I have come through.
Even with that being said... I would have lectured my mother more.. and forcibly removed bad things from her so she would have lived longer ( heart disease ) I would have chosen a different father for my son and not the wanker he has. ( great gene pool total arse) and I would have gotten my Masters in  Physcology. ~ I can still do that one at least.

PanthersMom -> RE: You have the power (1/23/2008 2:03:09 PM)

i would try harder to do whatever i could have done differently in order for my oldest child to have been born with less serious disabilities.  docs say i did everything i could, but as a mom i just can't help thinking there was something else i could have done.

Like I'd tell you freaks?

Crush -> RE: You have the power (1/23/2008 2:27:26 PM)

Never have gotten married the first time, esp. so young.  Let myself be coerced, in a sense...stupid me.  No pregnancy, etc....just no self-esteem that I could do better.

Would have waited for my true soulmate (my current wife) to be in my life.

ravennfyre -> RE: You have the power (1/23/2008 6:02:18 PM)

I wouldn't have turned down a full ride to MSU when I graduated high school.

Where would I be? Peering into a microscope, and I would have discovered cures for cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS and everything else that came down the pike.
