i'm naturally blonde and i add highlights every 4 weeks or so, but lately i've been thinking of going a bit more "red".....what are the thoughts on this?  i'm not sure myself, that is why i ask...thanks!

I have come to LOVE my hair color.  Hated it when I was a kid.  I think red is yummy, and if immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the redheads who were born that way, thank those of you who "enhance" your own color for the compliment.  [:)]

i am natural blonde as well and color my hair red... one pic in my profile has red with blonde streaks though.  but normally is all red.

i was told to get straw blonde i would have to bleach it and cost is about $200 (due to the length) since ive colored my hair red now for the last 6 years.

I highly advise going to a salon if you go ahead with the color change to avoid having your hair
come out either flaming orange or shocking pink.   [sm=preen.gif]

Love ya blonde.. but there is something about a red headed gal....

if you are going to dye your hair for the first time, esp if you already have chemical processing on your hair I would have a pro do it.

See how it reacts. Thier professional dyes tend to not go brassy.

I swear by Feria. It is an wonderful quality dye. I use it on all my girls I dye.  Anything in a 7 range is going to be light.

my salon is across the street...it costs me $90 to color my hair red, they use a root color and a bottom color the two blend together.

<<<<< is the result, and there is another pic of me in green sweater with same color.  the catsuit pic is store bought coloring..which is why it sucks.

i've thought of going red, but with my luck i'd end up looking like my ex's current partner.  i swear her hair is purple, a deep plum color.  makes her look like a troll.

We do.  We do.  But we have even more fun if we're brunettes with red highlights.

maybe i'll try something lighter at first, i tried to go brunette once several years ago and it just didn't look good on me for whatever reason.   thanks for the replies so far, i know the subject of my hair color is up there with global warming and all that other important stuff hehe but i  am torn about doing it or not so the input is helping.

I am not qualified to speak on the subject of hair. I comb mine with a damp washcloth.

Personally I Love red hair and I'm not saying that because I am a redhead. I just love the way it looks particularly in the sunlight. But you may want to get it done in a salon, reds can be tricky. I've seen a few people with pink hair who thought they would come out red hair [:-]
