So Santa brought us an xbox 360. Turns out I find first person shooter's very relaxing after work. Call of Duty 2 is pretty well used up. Suggestions?

have you given Halo a shot yet? Also, if you want something with storyline, try Mass Effect

The less storyline and fancy frills, the better. Simple on the controls is even more important. I just want to casually slaughter bad people/monsters for 1/2 hour while dinner cooks.

Little brother gave us one called The Darkness. I haven't been able to get into that one. Is there anything where I can just stand still and kill hundreds, one at a time? I'm sometimes pretty well fed up with humanity when I first get in the door.

Yeah, anything with the name dynasty warriors... I dont even remember the story, but you do nothing but wade through masses of people with a big ol sword though I think that might be a playstation title

The new manhunt is only on the ps2 and wii :( Give Gears of War a shot though. They start to tell a story...but pretty much forget about it like 5 minutes into the game and then it ends up just focusing on one thing lol...plus the Call of Duty series in general is amazing. If you like 2 you'd probably like them all. I do :)

My youngest um says call of duty 4 or any rainbow six would work :) Santa brought me a DS lite and Im loving it, but im a mario, donkeykong,sonic type gal. IM such a wuss.... puzzles are another favourite. Too many controls give me the heebie jeebies so I like the simple stuff, altho Im likeing the Wii, Mario Galaxy Lucy

~Fast Reply~ You might want to try "Dead Rising". There is story but there is a LOT of zombie killing and you can kill them in pretty amusing ways, like sticking a shower rod in their head and watching blood sprinkle out. Also, killing zombies with guitars is pretty fun.

Yup! It's set in a mall so you get to find interesting ways to kill them. There are swords, some guns, you can run around with those dummies used to display clothes and kill zombies with those. I like those because when they break you can still use the arms and legs. There is also a toy store. Beating zombies with oversized teddy bears or putting these bucket things on their heads and watching them wander around confused is pretty fun.

Dead rising is a lot of fun... so are the GTA game, an Saints Row... at least for mindless killing

Gears of War is a hot item here, Halo also. And Guitar Hero for a totally different kind of thing. I'm told if you get Rock Band, you get a guitar controller and a drum controller, and mike, plus the lyrics show up on the screen. This being via my son who is the game player in the house.
