luvzdogtoyz -> Need Storage help (1/23/2008 9:07:42 PM)

Over several years, I have collected a good ammount of toys and equipment. But Im running out of "safe" places to put them.

I reside with someone, who would not be happy if my stash was spotted.

For the time being, I have been using shipping boxes and sealing with duct tape. However since I frequently open said boxes, they get wear and tear pretty fast.

The only "toy keepers" I have found, are for smaller items like dildos and vibrators.

Does anyone know of a larger, lockable, storage case for bdsm equipment?

Thanks for the help! [:D]

an army foot locker may work attainable at most army surplus type stores .Or  they do have a plastic foot locker  at places  like k mart  target  look in the automotive areas or storage area of the stores , its black and a lock can be used .Thrift stores are yet another great place to check out  for a cheap solution ,maybe you can get a treasure type chest ,foot locker ,or hope chest type  cheap at a place like that .

You might look into getting one of the larger tool chests like the sorts you see in auto repair shops. Those are usually lockable and have various sized storage spaces for different toys.

An armoire is great if you have a lot to store.

Many places have locking storage cabinets in different sizes, shapes and finishes.  Perhaps change the lock on a closet door to one with key?  I have also seen plastic staore bins that you could put a padlock through holes in the lid to secure it.

I have the best toy storage box ever. It's a craftsman rolling plastic toolbox. I was using for my bootblack supplies but downsized. It has a divided small tool tray on top with a deeper open tray underneath that. Then the bottom portion is like 1.5 feet deep. It's made of sturdy hard plastic and is designed for sitting and standing on. I absolutely love it. I have other friends who use the same tote for their crafting, scrapbooking, and other supplies. I just bought a second one for my leatherworking stuff. Best Part is that it can be locked to keep out prying eyes. I'll get the model number and a link for you later tonight. It was around $60-$70 but very well spent.

Footlockers, toolchests, office supply cabinets, you can find lockable ones in various sizes to suit your needs. Another option is luggage. It's easy to find suitcases of virtually any size, with either hard cases and built-in locks, or soft-sided and lockable with travel padlocks. You can do this on the cheap, also, as plenty of people sell used luggage on places like craigslist.

I don't know what they're called, but those long bags used to carry guns can be taken any where and can be locked.
