I never considered it my job to welcome the newbies or make it easy for them. How do we decide who the welcoming committee is? As far as being prepared for message boards, if posters remember to wear their big girl/big boys pants, they should do fine. Well it also helps if they aren't dumb as a box of rocks, but I find that amusing so I don't want all of them to leave because I come here mainly for amusement. But when they start emailing me trying to defend themselves, ack, go away!

yeah the taking the ridiculous fight to the mailbox thing is a huge annoyance...why would anyone think if I didn't agree on the boards I would there. Those I have no sympathy for. My mailbox is for creepy troll sex email, not forum arguments, get it straight! [;)]

My advice to anyone is suck it up. Don't take things as a personal insult but see that people can and will challenge a concept you might hold. And that even the 'old timers' get berated and pissed on at times. For some - it's a kink. For others, they just learn where the toilet roll holder is to wipedown. Oh and that sometimes Jeffff thows you a whammy and says something ultra cool that you wasn't expecting. And Katy don't always wear her big pants. the.dark.

I've learned to pretty much just dismiss the CollarMe Women's Auxiliary once they take over a thread. Cliques on message boards are just as tiring as they were in high school, but to each their own. It isn't about being mean necesarilly, just that often people seem to fall over themselves in an attempt to be supportive of their group of friends. Individually many of them have, and share, great insight, but as a gang they can be somewhat exclusionary to those with differing opinions. Just an observation. Now Domiguy, there's a member whose posts I always read with great interest. He can be nasty, harsh, and sarcastic, but there's often great insight in his postings and he never relies upon a group of "Me too!"s to make his point.
