You've heard it called oxymoron, or contradiction in terms, or just plain WRONG (like butterred-popcorn flavored jelly beans). It's when two words that don't belong together are written or spoken in the same sentence. I'm sure you all have your favorites. Here's mine: Have you seen those commercials featuring Sally Field? The first time I saw one, I said, Oh, my gawd! GIDGET has OSTEOPOROSIS! And if you're too young to get it, ask someone my age.
