LETTING GO

she takes a deep breath
and with a sigh
she lets go.

of the anger
frustration
and unhappiness

that have held her
hostage
ever since that night

that she learned
his secrets
and broke her heart.

she was harsh
and bitter
and vengeful

but now she
is full of regret
at her attempts

to hurt him
for he is free
to live his life
as is she.

she chooses
to let go
and end
the battle

that is raging
in her mind
and heart.

she hopes
someday
to make amends

but for now
she is content
with just letting go.

Life goes on
and new destinies
await them both.

As the pain subsides,
He looks deep within...
Knowing that is all has come to an end.

So many rages,
Too many harsh words..
and still released truths.

Parting maybe, sweet sorrow.
To poets, writers and bards.
But, in the end the pains of release are still hard.

When truths, uncovered show forth..
the stranger we hid away forever,
Rage is asserted, Happy feelings diverted.

Becuase we may not
have been whom they they wanted,
and in the end she felt deserted.

Watching, as she moves on.
I hope for her better day.

For her to one day, find someone...
To live with in moon lit daze.

One day,
Maybe we will see eachother again with a passing gaze.

But, our hands will hold another.
In the end of days.
She is happy,
With that.

I give priase.

She is breathing again
soft light breaths of freedom
from the pain
and the dishonesty
that she found
to be true.

Her fantasies of
what they had
were dashed on the night
she learned
the truth
of what he really was
compared to what she
imagined him to be.

As she slowly learns
to breathe again
she realizes
that there is so
much more to life
than this.

For he was
a passing fancy
a dream that
became
a nightmare
and she
deserves
so much more
than what he
was able to give.
