Rumtiger -> Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 5:43:33 AM)

Dont ask why...but I feel the need to have a Brit of the female persuasion to talk to me, I dunno, I just need the accent to be heard, helps to relax me.

stroking of my hair is optional but would be appreciated.

Aussie actually does the opposite of relaxing me.

What, you think you can pull off British though? If its good i'll accept a fake accent as well.

I mean i'm desperate, i'll take anything from sweet little scrumpet to proper British Lady to a comley nanny.

hahahaha...I thought it was British I was doing.
ok.  Let me try again.
Toodles Bloke.  Care for some fish n chips?

Okay thats a tiny bit better.

kinda gotta imagine someone with a Jersey accent trying to be British though.

could be worse...could be from Brooklyn.

lol...so I won't tell ya that I'm originally from NY.  Queens to be exact.
And I too was sounding way to Jersey in my head.

heh, funny you might know a couple of my guido trio buds.

Youre certainly one rum Tiger......

I suggest phoning Bristol, Newport (south Wales), Edinburgh or Dublin - these are about the most interesting, relaxing natural accents available here. Ask for Mrs Wall.

Depending on what type of accent you like ... am southern so am quite plummy and "posh" sounding .... though i can do an adorable west country if the need arises

I sat behind four folks from Bristol all the way back from Prague the other week - that accent (male or female voiced) and West Country in general is just fascinating. I could listen to it all day!

Not sure about the origins of the term limeys but I was told it was what people called those that were shipped off to Australia because they eat limes and other vitamin C products to fight off scurvy. This being the case it hardly applies to people who are still in the UK. I’ve also heard POM either mean prisoner or mother England or used as to mean pomegranate as mentioned previously to fight off scurvy.

Care for some fish and chips does sound frightfully middleclass and I’m seriously doubting that they would be seen dead in such a ghastly plaice. Just colour in a few of your teeth black and the accent will come naturally, I’m told.[8|]

Can't get more English than that.

Raechard -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:12:25 AM)

9 She is German[8|].

(edit: to add my German accent[:D])

dcnovice -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:14:42 AM)

Hey, Raechard! How are you?

And no, she''s not!

Raechard -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:16:10 AM)

Very well thanks dc and your good self?

IS!

dcnovice -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:21:55 AM)

Okay, thanks. Unwinding after a long work week and getting over a weird cyber fling.

I honestly don't get why people keep calling the old girl German. She was born in the UK, and so were her parents. Not sure about all her grandparents. If she were named Fatima, it would be terribly politically incorrect to say she wasn't British.

Besides, her accent is definitely English, no?

Raechard -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:24:23 AM)

One would say she is the only one that speaks that way in the UK.[8|]

dcnovice -> RE: Any limeys in the desert? (1/26/2008 8:25:30 AM)

LOL! One would indeed. I tried to link to the latest broadcast, but they seem to have taken it down.

Copyright issues but you can find the script written on some cheap cutlery tat along with the union flag, I expect. You can tell the PM writes her speeches because she has started talking like a fish since Gordon Brown took over.[8|]
