Yes.. it is a rant but I'm hoping that others that had this happen will finally understand 'why'. In November I tried to access my ISP email but was unable to. It took 6 phone calls and many hours before someone finally admitted that they had 'accidently' deleted my entire account. Nothing was retrievable, it was suggested that since they offer free email it was my choice to use theirs and my choice to choose the risk. As well as the fact that it is considered company policy to not notify a customer that their account has been deleted nor to offer reparation.Turns out... I was not the only one.I've never hated something as amorpheous (sp) as a company but Charter Communications is awfully close. I lose my VOIP several times a day, my broadband connection is horribly slow. I had to lay the cable in my own crawlspace!! Drill my own walls and so on. At one point they had put 11 splitters inside my house. Egads they suck. I had to demand the $50 credit today, it was not automatic. That is the real reason for my post, incase there is another Charter victim among us. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,325338,00.html

That's terrible, do you have any other options?

just heard that Charter acidently deleted either over 14, 000 emails or 14,000 customers saved emails accidently and there is no way to retrieve it if you dont us a d/l email program like outlook and keep your stuff in webmail saved.
Tons of customers are in a major uproar abou that happening.

You might try to find the news article behind the 14,000 lost profiles/e-mails. Send a query to your State Attorney General and ask if there is any recourse under Michigan Law. The mail service may be free, but they offer it as part of a package of services you PAY for. There has to be some level of accountability.

Oh good idea! I've notated and tracked all the problems over the past um yeah well, the past decade lol.I have been constructing a letter to send to Charter but I think contacting the MI Atty General is a better way to go.Thankies for the thought.

Hun, business practices today have become so sleazy. I ask would you do this to YOUR mother ?

IMO they routine mis-bill- figuring 5% will complain.  presto 95% did not complain- mis-bill now profit.
