Dear hightideo1, Ladies and Gentlemen;
I find that having the 'victim' doggy style and angled, to where his hinney is elevated as to permit me to reach down and in does very well for me.
If one looks at male anatomy, the anus does curve a bit. It really hinges on the position of the arm of the Dominant which has to be comfortable also. I prefer to sit as it is a very patient body manipulation form, as by nature the anus is for exits, not entries and the muscles must be relaxed.
Slings have worked for many. However, not all have slings to 'fist' with. Perhaps the consideration of taking a rolled sleeping bag (cover it in plastic so it isn't soiled) and use that to rest the hips on so the knees don't bear all the weight. Use pillows to support the rest of the torso as well. I find if anybody is in a non-relaxed position, even in doggy --the anus isn't relaxed as much. And, do use plenty of lube. Most fisting fans I know in the Gay Leather community uses Crisco (non-buttered) for anal lube with no ill effects. Richfood is even better as it breaks down into fluid quickly. I would also spread thighs as wide as possible. This cannot be achieved if you aren't supported by the rolled sleeping bag. Depending on your body, a triangled batch of sleeping bags - 2 at the base and 1 on top roped together, should handle a man who is has lengthy legs. I'd also put a drop cloth over the bed that will support this and or any other furniture you have in use for this endeavor.
I also have found the straighter the spine is on the 'victim' the easier it is to be 'in line.' I also wish to mention, that no anus' are the same. Some anus' slant left. Some slant right. Some do go straight on. The whole idea is to go with the natural shape of 'your' anus.
In any introduction of 'fisting' to me, it is important that the 'victim' guides me. With such a fine membrane coating of the anus, fingernails and rough surfaces can nick the anal walls and can open a 'terrible' case of infections, bleeding and the like. I do hope that any who do wish to fist, will wash themselves extremely well --up to surgical specifications preferred. If it comes to the time where one passes the normal 'exam glove' which ends at the wrist--the arm will carry debri into the anus when not gloved. If you can -- purchase vet. exam gloves--they reach to the armpit. Otherwise, I highly recommend using suran wrap and wrap the arm up. It also aids in 'clean up.' I'd also be concerned if I see any blood in the fluids exiting your anus. When using Crisco/Richfood it shows up. I also don't use any Crisco/Richfood that has been exposed to the fisting process. No contamination policy of mine and of other fisters I know. I take a paper bowl (Dixie or Hefty bowl) and put the measure of Crisco/Richfood in that--leaving the host can uncontaminated. I use sterile gloves for this process as well. I lube an anus from the paper bowl. It too can be pitched into the rubbish when I'm done.
In summary, fisting is something that you need to clearly communicate the comfort level and progress with your TOP/Dominant/Master/Mistress. It is something that requires patience and sometimes many breaks in between can relax everybody and progress is gained. It requires someone to be relaxed. So, I do wish you well.
