sambamanslilgirl -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 3:49:46 AM)

here in Chicago, i've seen professional artists who hang themselves by inserting  hooks into their skin and recently met the person who made my steel collar.

Hijack re the DMV. After The Man moved up here, he had to get his address changed. I directed him to the DMV, the whole time him complaining how late in the day it was, and how we'd never get through the line before they shut the door. There were two women ahead of us, and he was in shock at how a trip to the DMV could be done casually up here in the country.

If you need to renew, take a day trip to a more rural county. You spend less time driving there and back than you would if you spent all day waiting in the city. And up where there are less lines, the DMV workers are nice too since they don't deal with people taking their frustration at the lines out on them.

What jobs are there out in the world that are BDSM related? Besides porn.

I mean...is there even a broad field for people with our expertise?

Phone sex.... seriously... if you really don't have any taboo topics (i.e. golden and brown showers) then you could do pretty well for yourself...

BlackPhx -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 5:49:18 AM)

Oooo, there are a couple of professions missing..
Dog Trainer (you get to train both the dog and the owner)
Police/Corrections Officer (protect and Serve)
Hairdresser/Stylist (Hair fetish)
Waitress/Hostess/Waiter/etc (service with a smile to difficult customers)
Carpenter (cabinets etc)
Author (how to books, porn)

poenkitten

All of these are BDSM friendly in one way or the other if not blatant, they can still satisfy more than a few of your emotional mental needs outside of a relationship, and hone skills at the same time.

On that note shoe sales person = Foot fetish.
Other than the obvious Pro Domme, Porn and BDSM toy maker I met a guy who worked part time as a dungeon master at a club.  I didn't ask him if he was paid cash or in some other way lol.

LaTigresse -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 6:52:17 AM)

Oral Surgeons and dentists have got to be sadists.

I find that alot of my horse and dog training mindset flows into the other. But then so does my paying job/management stuff.

pompeii -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 7:37:17 AM)

What about headmaster?

littlebitxxx -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 7:55:28 AM)

Manager of an adult store.......mmmmmm.

pompeii -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 7:58:07 AM)

I forgot to mention the evil "fluffer" ...

QuietDom -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 8:39:38 AM)

If living in a "first world" nation isn't critical to you, there's lots of places where a skilled torturer is a highly valued professional.  Of course, now matter how good we may be as hobbyists, that's playing in a different league altogether.

Laughing because I remember being blown away the first time I saw one in action. "Amelia, why is that woman giving that guy a blow job just before he goes on set?" "Baby, that's a fluffer." "Why does he need that? Doesn't he just get excited by the actresses?"........and on and on.....

Ohhhh yes, the memories of days of insanity.

KnOcala -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 9:35:45 AM)

DMV -  ROFL , many cunstomer related fields could fall under humiliation.

Judges and sadists can go hand and hand.

Unfortunately, that is a wasted trip in many states.  When I lived in Houston, I was standing in line at the DMV one day.  Alot of people live in the next county to the south, but work in the greater Houston area.  One guy at the counter got quite agitated and started going off on the person behind the counter, then he left.  Someone came out and made an announcement that if you were renewing your vehicle registration, and the vehicle was NOT registered in Harris County (where Houston is), you should just save yourself some aggravation and leave now, because you have to renew in the county you live in, or put in an address change to this county.  Maybe a fourth of the people in line left.  This was more than 10 years ago, and things may have changed, but I would call first and make sure you can do what you want to do, if you're going to another county.

We can renew our tags via the mail, or online, here. To renew our drivers licenses, requires a trip and a photo op.

ravennfyre -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 8:23:04 PM)

debt collector...you always knew it was gonna be a great day when you made three people cry before 9AM....

Exquemelin -> RE: BDSM Jobs (1/28/2008 11:02:29 PM)

I've thought a few times about opening a kink friendly private investigator. That dom you've been talking with, want to know if he's married? Just think of the voyuerism oppurtunities. Plus it means I get to work freaky hours that means I don't really need to you know, sleep at night.  Ex
