I didn't say it had anything to do with YOUR devotion, I did say it had to do with Mine. Each person knows their own strengths and weaknesses, I have found that I have an ability to create and thus I create. Nothing more to it than that. I was devoted to teaching myself to do things that I knew would benefit me and I have done that in my life with all things for that matter. All I was stating is that for me to spend days, maybe weeks on a new toy I will feel that much more fulfilled in extracting it's pleasure and discipline into my subs. It's all about getting what you need out of it and be able to provide what they want. I'm an all or nothing kinda guy.

Hmmm...ok, my apologies then. I was reacting to your advice never to buy toys because they'd mean so much more if the poster made them himself. Seemed like you were telling him what was "right", not what was "right for you". I must have missed the caveat.

I have a tendency to speak very directly and state my mind very openly. Tends to put some people on guard around here. Too quick to jump to their guns. Again nothing negative implied just an interesting atmosphere for someone as honest and forthcoming as myself.

Honest and forthcoming (peppered with care to say what you mean rather than assuming that everyone can read your mind) is a good thing, imnsho. I don't have any problem with honest and forthcoming. I do have a problem with One True Way-ism, and I'll jump on that every time I see it. I tend to speak very directly and state my opinions openly too. However, I try to make sure that it's clear that they're my opinions and not necessarily true for anyone outside of my skin.

Speaking of making your own toys... i thought about trying to make a butt plug. BUT, then i read about this dude in Georgia who used commercial grade silicone (like you get at home depot) to inject into some of his transvestite buddies to give them 'natural curves'. Killed several. That cooled my artsy craftsy idea.
