Ryugen -> T-shirt design (draft) (1/30/2008 8:09:48 PM)

In the spirit of not hijacking threads, I thought I'd post my concept for a bdsm themed t-shirt on a seperate thread. The idea was originally given to me by PrincessEllie and her thread, found here; http://www.collarchat.com/m_1574167/tm.htm

Anyway, this thread really only exists to not hijack the other one, and to exibit the t-shirt design of mine for PrincessEllie to see and judge whether we can save time and competition by running products from the same Cafe Press account. What you'll discover in the draft of the design is that it's only a linework concept at this stage, but I'll use the scan to create a vector image of it instead for the t-shirt (to those who aren't tech-savvy, it means I can resive the resultant image to any size I please without making it look horribly blurred).

Draft;

The actual concept of the design was based on something I have heard, know, but have no chance of understanding. That is, the feeling of freedom and s-type gets from submitting. As I'm a Dom, I really don't get it (although that's not excuse [;)] perhaps it's just how my brain works). Also represented in the design is that little piece of wisdom that goes something along the lines of "a collar round the heart/mind is more powerful than a collar round the neck." Which is very true, and thus is why the collar is round a heart. Other parts of the image should reveal their symbolism and what they represent pretty easily really. Any confusion? Just ask.

I'm going to end up colouring that drawing on paper anyway, because I know I'll enjoy it [:D]

If You offer this, a version without the spikes (or smaller ones) and also a version without the words would be great. Between Princess' Ellie's shirts and this, i will be breaking the bank! The only problem i will have is explaining to my 17 year old WHY she can't borrow my t-shirts, without coming 'out' to her. LOL

On reflection, making the wings larger in comparison to the size of the heart might create a better balance visually. This is a great concept, though.

Aw I can't see it.

I can't see it either - is there a way to turn the filter off...or could you possibly post it as a picture in your profile so I can see it there? Very interested - my birthday is coming up and I am picking out my possible presents!

Alright, since the content filter wont allow anyone without an account to see it, I'll turn it off. Hopefully not 'nilla people come along and complain about it.

MRandme; Mmm, you might be right about the wings. Also, a version without the spikes is doable, so we'll see where it goes from here [;)]

I love that design.  I can digitize it for $35.  Do it all the time.
