Just keep in mind that wrists and ankles are nowhere near round in cross-section, so anything inflexible drawn into a circle based on raw circumference is not going to fit! Also, they taper as they near the body, which can become an issue if you're building large shackles as opposed to modern cuffs Wrists- 2-3/4" x 2" (probably average for a male, glove size is L or XL depending on brand) Ankles- 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" (no idea, assume they're average) Other pertinent measurements would be the smallest measure of the widest portion of the hand, to keep cuffs from slipping off- that would be 3-1/2"- and the measurement from the front of ankle to the back of the heel with the toes pointed- that's about 5-1/2" For neck size, mine (which i know is larger than average) is about 17-3/4"- i wear a steel collar with an 18" inner circumference. When i bend my head back, it presses quite noticably into the front of my throat. i like this, but i'm not sure that everyone does. Just something to consider. Good luck! Sounds much cooler than anything i did in college [:o]
