It's hard to tell from the pics, the cat is adorable, is it a rather large cat?
A water bottle never worked with my himilayan, in fact, he tries to get into the shower all the time and loves the rain. I don't hit them either other than if the younger cat picks on the older cat who has arthritis and can't always react as quickly now, I will swat him on the butt because it's been very hard unlearning this competitive thing with him and he is very stubborn and doesn't get intimidated very easily. Usually, merely showing disappointment or saying "bad cat" or hissing/making loud noises will be enough for my two cats.
