Mine is watching the sun set .... Sometimes the colors  in them are excillerating( And no it is to late/early to  look for the correct spelling of that  word)

Reading a book in a quiet house, with a nice fire roaring in the fireplace. Nothing can compare to the simplistic joy in this for me.

A warm, sunny, Saturday afternoon, riding my bike on a trail.  That's one of the best things.

I agree with jaded. A nice fire on a cold, sleeting winter's night, snug in your home. During those times, all the noise of everyday living, my job, the election, the seemingly endless war... all of them fade away in the warmth and the light. (If the "Thistle and Shamrock", or "Music From the Hearts of Space" radio show is playing on NPR, the effect is magnified.)

Yep... having one cat on my lap, the other curled up next to me, reading a good book (currently Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett).

I have two....the smell of truly fresh air, and looking up at the sky at night where there's no light pollution, the sky is black and the stars jump down at you.

In a warm cozy home in front of the fire with a bowl of ice cream and it snowing outside, knowing you don't HAVE to get out in it the next day if you don't want to.

Spending time with a purring cat......ahh that sound is heavenly!
Watching a horse run for the sheer pleasure of moving.
Eating fresh popped corn and laughing at a comedy.
Holding hands with my husband.

The warm feeling I get when I come home from work and my fuzzy little friends are all waiting at the door to greet me.
