fluffyswitch -> advice columns (2/2/2008 4:13:51 PM)

okay i'm gonna try this again and hopefully a mod will delete this from the other forum...

this really is going to be a weird question but i was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for online advice columns.

i would  like at least three and they have to be relatively decent--as in a lot of discussion and a wide range of topic matters.

what i'm looking for is like dear abby, etc. etc. etc.

the problem is all i can think of is dear abby.

So you're looking for an already established advice column with a forum or chatroom attached to it?  Or, rather, two or three of these?

       New ones to start, or existing ones you don't know about?  If the latter, try The Straight Dope.  If you need a fresh idea, the topic of personal ethics has done very well for Dr Laura self-rightous BITCH  (Sorry, I always finish her name that way).

not necessarily with a chatroom. just one that posts fairly frequently on a decent range of topics.

dear faery: this is a hotly debated topic, considering fluffy actually tends to be a hardass on the other side of this monitor. of course this is dependent on who you talk to, as He swears strongly that she is and always be His piece of fluff. if anyone has any information that could shed some light on this topic please contact this profile or leave a note on this thread...

on a more serious note what im actually looking for is something to build a sample up out of.

I like Jen Sincero's Living In Sin, but they are all sex related, so it might not fit your criteria.

I used to like the MSN Miss Manners board, but that's all gone to pot mostly with all OT and fluff discussions.  Sometimes still has good stuff though.

I enjoy yahoo answers. Not exactly Dear Abbie, but you can get a lot of information (some of it right!) on many different topics.

There is one called Dear Margo that seems to touch on a  variety of issues.

Check out "Savage Love"  it runs in a bunch of free/undrground type newspapers.   Guy is based in the Seattle Stranger.   http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Author?oid=259  Hard core gay activist answers your questions about most anything.
