About two years ago Master gave this girl a pearl necklace which was to be worn as a discreet daily collar. Recently, the string broke and this girl has been unable to wear her collar. Master is aware of this fact as girl told him that the string was wearing thin prior to its breaking and told him imediately when it finally broke. This girl is feeling very lost without her collar on. The question is whether it would be appropriate for this girl to come right out and ask Master to replace it, should she just share with Master how lost she is feeling or should she just be patient and wait for Master to make the decision that the collar should be replaced?

I for one believe in open and honest communication between Master and slave.  In that regards I would suggest that you tell him honestly what you want.  If you want the Collar replaced than ask him, respectfully of course, directly and not play any type of word game hoping he would get the hint.  Sometimes the bulb in my head is only on at 4 watts and I don't get word games...

Ummm...bring it to a jeweler and have it restrung.  If it's causing you this much stress then an hour's drive isn't all that much.

ok, i guess i am one of those DIY chicks... google has several links on how to do it yourself, and the supplies are mass cheap.

The worst He can do is bum on you for taking initiative, take it and have it re-done professionally.  But maybe He'd feel some serious pride in His girl tending to her posessions, especially if the collar is the primary symbol of His headship over you.  :)

i have never had my 6 strand necklace restrung nor do i wear it though it only was worn once and that was like in 99 it stays locked up of course its not a collar but i was affraid to break it cause u can imagine on how much that would of cost to fix knowing  how much its worth. but i would say if he not doing anything about it then if it bringing the person down get it fixed.
