Duplicity
Alanis sang the words so well
in her most famous of
angry songs.
Never in my wildest dreams
did I ever imagine
I'd find so much joy
in singing along.
But in my life
I found my own
Mr. Duplicity
and knowing you now
the way I do
Never before have
her words sang
more true
when I think of those
words in reflection
of you.
Now as I find myself
moving on in
a different
direction
I know that I
won't give my
heart as easily
as it was given to you
and I hope that
someday
you will listen
to the words to
Alanis' song
and think
of me
singing them
to you.
