LadySonelle -> RE: Would Boycotting Gasoline work? (5/8/2006 5:10:00 PM)

Well, we have cut down a great deal in the last year. My First servitor commuted to work daily. Now she works at home. That saves 70 miles a week. Next we will work on figuring out how to walk to and from the grocery store. Only problem is, the way home is up a very steep hill. Going to the store would be OK< but lugging home gorceries.... Shoving a fully loaded cart 3 miles, the last half mile uphill isn't going to be easy! Still, if we figure out how to do that, we can cut automotive gas consumption to near zero! But then there are, as an earlier poster commented, more ways we use fuel and absorb fuel costs. The price of *everything* is going to go up! Food, clothing, anything that is carried on trucks, planes, ships... Lady Sonelle Lady sonelle
