Lady E, I hope you'll try to rejoice in the progress you've made toward your transformation.  You're a butterfly learning to sprout your wings.  I'm confident an intelligent women such as you will find some way to keep herself busy without undoing the delicate surgery you've just put yourself through. Thanks - I'll be alright I'm sure. Its just this not being able to do stuff like I normally do I believe, and being stuck inside mostly. I believe there's also an issue around using more painkillers than normal - great for the arthritic spine with sleeping on my back, but they do affect mood eventually - though its only been a couple of weeks or so. I have some bad experience (maybe good experience) of that sort of thing from years ago - maybe proves I'm not that intelligent - though it taught me a lot.

I'm sure no one could replace Tabitha. But have you thought about kittens? My two have really made it better for me all round - its quite funny how empathetic they are and theyre such good company and loads of fun!

E

A new point in my domme discoveries was reached in the past week, as I studied with Lee Harrington, played with a new toy at the monthly local party, and *ta-da* played with a new sub who is extremely promising. And it looks as though, with any luck, I will get to be his introduction to the scene hereabouts...his previous kink experience is 15 years ago, though *he* was the one who turned a "meet for coffee" date into a flogging.

So, I'm discovering my domme with glee, and enjoying a solitary life between dates.

Lady E, if the painkillers are morphine-based such as oxycontin or oxynorm, then depression can be a side effect. Hopefully as you heal and need them less and also get out more, the depression will ease.

pixel, I admire your moving on, understanding as I do how much you miss Tabs. Great to hear you are getting out more locally and hope you really enjoy the coming events!

MsC, not so long now ... just hope You don't end up wanting to put the miniDomme BACK once She starts throwing Her little weight around! Anatomy tells Me they don't fit in reverse! All the very best to You.

And the best to all the others, these were just the posts that really stood out.

Here, much is the same, talking to a variety of potential subs, but none that are able at this time to come and visit and move to the next level. All a bit frustrating! Will be having dinner out with a friend from here and her Master next week, that's always good, they are great folks. And they put up with an oldie like Me LOL! Master and violet remain very happy ... always the odd little glitch or misunderstanding of course, but i never cease to be amazed by how easily they are resolved without ongoing repercussions.

Master and I are getting close to gigging with Our duo ... 40 songs learned, PA gear bought and just about finalised in set up, business cards designed and printed, and today We recorded 4 tracks for a demo CD. The PA takes up 1/3 of the lounge room at the moment, but that's OK, We're not entertaining anyone at the moment. Though I do hope We have a better effect on human audiences than We do on the dogs, they were both blissfully asleep on the lounge chairs when We were practising the other day LOL! Still, at least they haven't run howling from the room, so it can't be all bad! Please keep your collective fingers crossed as Master starts touting for gigs! We really need the work to make the money to stay here ...

Otherwise, loving life, loving this place, feeling very very lucky! And yes, I love these roll calls!

I do love these roll calls. Thank you Ms C and I hope that your family is doing well with the wait for Mini-Domme.

I just want to wish everyone good luck with their classes. And hope that everyone is feeling better. Lady E wishing you a speedy recovery. DJ I hope that you are all better now.  Hugs Pixel.

Not to too much has been going on in my life of late. I’ve just finished a month at both of my jobs which I love working at. I just hope that I’ll be able to keep my part time job with my full time job having a flex schedule. The big down side to working my jobs is the lack of free time. Through I am spending that time getting to know someone better which is good. Other news is that I caught the office cold which I think I might be getting over with right now.

I bought a bitch in January! And I don't mean a dog :) So we're a few weeks into it and I own his ass.  It's not a pure "pro sub" situation but it's providing me endless entertainment. I highly recommend it!

Quiet season for me. The project at work which has dominated my life for the past year is done and I am on hold, picking up loose ends here and there while we wait to see if the next one is coming or not. That is relaxing and mildly depressing; nothing to throw myself into, no thinking, just a string of unfulfilling little tasks. My ego is bored, sitting on the sidelines. On the other hand, I'm sleeping better. ;-)

At home, getting used to not having a full-time girl, since I sent mine to college. Suddenly I'm having to make all those annoying compromises I've been hearing others moan about. That is not fun. But a girl with skills and confidence, assuming she sticks around once she gets out, will be worth the effort. It's been a joy to watch her discover things and make new connections, despite the tremors and trauma that come (came?) with being 15 years older than the rest of the class.

Finally, tomorrow we are supposed to get spring weather *at last*. It has been unusually cool and wet; the hills are green, which I have never seen here before, but with no heat in the house we've been shivering since December. I'm very tired of it.

jonathan -> RE: February Roll Call (2/11/2008 4:25:18 PM)

Yes, i love the roll calls too. This place has the real people, and those who do the roll call the truest of the true. i see the same 'faces' every time i answer one. The weather in the desert finally got up to speed and this is the best place to live in the Valley of the Sun.

i'm almost done with a new petition, Someone local, can't stop searching. Just a hopeless romantic. Cross fingers. i got in touch with ex-Ma'am recently, hope that She finds someone that can make Her happier than i did.

Ms. Akasha, You are such a bad girl. Good luck with Your new toy. [sm=applause.gif]

I've had two on-campus interviews now, two more telephone interviews, and one more possible campus visit depending on what I hear back from one university. So I'll see if I get a job offer near Philly or Boston and if not, I'm flying to Denver for a visit.

I think I'll get a week or so break here so I'm going to focus on updating and preparing my "Ghoul: Fatal Addiction" game for Millennicon (http://www.millennicon.org/) and some fiction writing I think. The event doesn't have all it's information up yet.

*cough* *cough* *hack* *wheeze*

Currently, we're battling my sickness.  Among other things, we're seriously preparing for our trip to a Wedding in NY that will incidentally occur during Spring Break in March.  We've got maps, lists, and my suit even matches my Owner's dress.  She's drop dead gorgeous in it, by the way.  I loose my breath every time I see her in it.  Tomorrow she'll be doing the final fitting process and we'll spend the rest of the night hanging out on my campus.  I hope my health is better by then.

We're going to be something of a traveling munch on the way to NY.  We're meeting a handful of different people from Collarme, and we're going to take the time to stop in DC for tourist stuff.  We're going to do a little of that in NY, but she lived there most of her life, so it's not cool, new, or neat to her.  It's going to be my first wedding.  Coming from the heart of the Bible Belt, I never thought my first wedding would be a Jewish wedding.  So, that's going to be pretty cool seeing how it all works.

Also, I have to remember to speak a lot slower and work on my pronunciation when meeting all of these people.  I expect us to be divided by a common language.

I've finally found a job close to campus.  Yay!
It's fast food...Long John Silvers to be exact.  Boo!

Regardless, I'm glad I'm working...even if it isn't my ideal part time job of working in a bookstore.  Money is certainly nice, though.  It helps me treat my Owner to stuff when I can manage.  Speaking of which, I also got her a triskele ring for her birthday, which she enjoys quite a bit.

My Owner is amazing as always, my classes are going great, and everything is pretty peaceful.

If I could only get over this damn flu, things would be perfect.

Perhaps if you stayed off the PC and WENT TO BED TO GET SOME REST, [8|]

Anyway, same ol same ol going on here.  Working, taking care of the UM's and working some more.  My UM had an uncle that just got to Canada for the first time ever, from Jamaica, so we wemt up to go met him this past weekend.  That was good, although he was less then impressed with our wonderful winter weather.  Hey, we told him it was cold, not My fault he is from a sunny island and thinks cold is anything under 80.  Still in court about My other UM,,,,hoping that can be resloved soon, but I know custody battles are long and difficult.  I am just sick of having to see My ex wife every other month in the court house!
My birthday is next weekend, and My friends are all driving Me mad about it.  Everyone wants to do something different. Now, how I am going to be home, at a club, at a house party and at Yuks Yuks all at once, I have no idea, but I have not committed to anything!  The last three birthdays I have had all turned out stupid, so I told My friends if this one does, I am cancelling it from now on, and I will be 32 the rest of My life.  Sounds like a plan to Me.
The one thing I did not think of, is when giving up wine for Lent, I forgot My b-day falls over it, so I WONT be having a drink, better break out that smoke [:D]

Anyway, that is it for Me, glad to see everyone else seems to be doing well too!
