The thread on chastity and teasing and denial led me to think about submissives who engage in fairly regularly self-play -- ie, they lock themselves into chastity at their own direction, engage in rituals with toys, etc. I tend to enjoy it more when a submissive doesn't engage in too much self play because I want some experiences to be new to him - or, to be shaped by our dynamic, not jaded by any self-direction or self experience. Granted, some self exploration is good - self bondage, etc. - but things like longterm chastity or nightly rituals with toys, when done completely alone with no direction, I think sometimes take away a bit of the magic - my issue, not his. It's something I have to work around when I meet a sub who has tons of experience - but all by himself.
Do you prefer subs that are more of a clean slate? Is experience with another femdom preferable to experience alone and with fantasy? Or, no experience at all? Does self-play build unrealistic expectations or make new experiences less exciting?
