Valentine's day is getting closer. I would like to share with the males readers of this site some ideas to make this day unforgettable for your sweetheart.

1.      Wake her up with breakfast in bed and a single rose.
2.      Write something from the heart. Write down how you feel about her. Don’t be shy about expressing your sentiments. You might not be a writer but for sure you have feelings about her. Put them down, handwriting on a nice paper. Be sincere in what you write. Take your time working and refining it.
3.      Buy her flowers. Remember that every flower has a meaning. Use the more appropriate for her.
4.      Cook for her. If you can’t cook an entire meal, just make her a dessert. You don’t have to make something amazing, but do something using your own hands, based on her food tastes.
5.      Take her out dancing.
6.      Clean her house intensely from top to bottom while she's at work, and have dinner waiting when she gets home. Whatever problems she has around the house that you can solve, solve them.
7.      Prepare a nice hot bath for her with bath salts. Throw in a bunch of rose petals and have flowers nearby in a vase. Play some nice background music with a playlist of the romantic songs she loves the most. Offer her a crystal glass of champagne or wine. Provide chocolates and strawberries. If she wants you to and if the bath is big enough, get in with her. You can rub her feet and shave her legs. After the bath use a nice-smelling massage oil or lotion and spend at least half hour to give her a relaxing massage.

And after a day like this, don’t forget that your sweetheart deserve to be treated this way every day of the year !

i hate valentines day

i would rather be surprised on another day of the year than some over commercialised day....just my thoughts though.

i hate valentines and most of the stuff that goes along with it. it just seems so forced. pay attention to me the other 364 days of the year and i'll be happy.

My 18 yr old UM and I are single, so we are celebrating Freya's Day ( which is Friday in Wiccan)--the day after---we hate commercialism and are ones who do make the other 364 days special!

Nice thoughts though OP, My fav is number 2--we too often rely on Hallmark to say things for us.
