V-Day is a consciousness raising event designed to end violence against girls and women through public performances, education, networking, and fundraising activities.

Usually there are performances done in communities and colleges of The Vagina Monologues;
many of the events are held near Valentine's Day...this yr I think they are going on through mid-April.
