Do people like music during play. The first time i engaged in a session with my former owner She played some very ambient music which sent my mind a little at rest. Of course being just old enough and very inexperienced at the time I was nervous and it really calmed me into a more submissive state. Does anyone know of any good music or artists geared towards BDSM play. At the moment Porcupine Tree and Lords of Acid with the occasional Nine Inch Nails is getting old for me!!!

a number of years ago (i hate to say how many) i was introduced to Concrete Blonde...the rhythm was quite conducive to the timing of the sessions, and at the right volume the noises of the session seemed to be easily incorporated into the session, making it less obvious to outside listeners.

Three Days Grace is amazing, Evenescence, pretty much most music to fit what ever mood you are trying to bring up. I like to listen to music for a few minutes before I play, usually it's Pain by TDG or songs from the Underworld soundtrack Wolf's denika

SOmetimes Vivaldi or MOzart. SOmetimes NIN, MInistry, VNV Nation et al. Sometimes Celtic.

Music during play is to distracting to me. I had music lessons in my youth. I teach music sometimes. When I hear a song I tend to take it apart and seperate the different insturments and re write it. When I play I tend to have blinders on and concentrate on what im doing.

Music with Lyrics is distracting to me personally. We enjoy listening to "Butt Boys" when sceneing. There are no words and the rythem seems to go perfect. peach

Anything that drowns out the noise of the impact and the responses of my playmate so it's not obvious to the neighbours works for me.

I think if I ever find a submissive lover he would be wise to learn what sets me off. Put the Dixie Chicks first album on and I'll be instructing him to go find my floggers immediately.

As cliche as it is, you can never go wrong with Enigma. The latest album (I forget the name) is probably as good as Enigma 1 for scene music. The other night, I tried doing a fast (8 minute or so) tw-handed flogging using Vanessa Mae's Toccota and Fuge in D Minor (Bach). She plays violin and that particular cut has some rock/pop beats mixed into it. It worked remarkably well, actually with a good beat, some excellent heavy-hit crescendos, and a buildup and bringdown that allowed the full range dispite the abbreviated session. (it was late and needed to head to bed)

When I played with a good domme friend, she played music during the scenes. I was in a good headspace, so I remember very little about the music. Evanesence was definitely played, I remember that one. I just hope Mistress doesn't use music for pacing the scene when She starts flogging me, otherwise my back and ass are in serious trouble should She put on Slayer or Pantera![&:] *gulp*

I set the music depending on what kind of session I am planning. Is it sensual? Is it hard core? Is it dark? Whats going to be happening. Things of that nature go into the planning of My sessions.
