I'm looking for a new setup for electro play. I've been doing some research and reading. There are quite a few power boxes to choose from as much as the different adapters. Does anyone have a favorite? Can you give me the pros & cons? I'd like to not have to spend a fortune on it.

PES is good
If you can afford it one of the premium Folsum Boxes are more then worth the extra $$

We personally like our ErosTek ET-312 unit. Just wanting to get more accessories for it, but it gets quite a fair amount of use. I'd even like to get a second one as it's fun to have submissives battle with each other using the microphone.

The Erostek equipment is great, so are the Folsom boxes. If you got the money, shell out for on of the larger programmble boxes they offer. My expereiences with Rimba boxes has not been good, extremely limited in what thye can do and their shock stregth is low.

I really appreciate the input.. I've been watching a couple of the units on ebay. I'm not sure who is looking forward to the purchase more - me or my boy...

There are many good estim boxes out there,some more advanced than others. PES and Folsom make good boxes. Erostek makes the more high end boxes.

There is the 302 box is their remote control box. You just hook up the receiver box to electrodes and put the box (the size of a pack of cigs)and electrodes on the wearer's body. The Dom holds the car key size pad and runs programs from there. The range is pretty good-depends on interference from other sources -and is fun for those" out and about town" play sessions.

I own an Erostek 232.This box can be used with a9volt battery or AC adapter (voltage is adjusted to be same as 9volt). It has the programs built into the box ie. wave,throb,thump,etc so you can run a pattern just by turning a knob. Some patterns are good for erotic sensations (my fav use of the box!!) and others are more SM geared. Much of the feel depends on the MA (master adjust). I think that the higher the MA the better the feel.

The channels on the Erostek boxes are separate ,so A and B channel run without sharing juice. If you should pull the B channel plug out,extra electricity does not run to channel A. I like that feature.

There is also an audio feature. The box will run a pattern if you make noise or hook it up to a stero,MP3,walkman etc. Very useful.

I once used it on my boy while he was hooded and bound. Placed my cell phone on the bed,took my home phone to the bathroom with me while I showered. I just dialed,made the cell ring and the box turned on his butt plug. Domination with no hands! He did bitch a bit when the message beep kept ringing and turning on the box, but the gag in his mouth kept that babbling to a minimum!

Also the boxes are very easy to run. Damn I can barely use a TV remote,but I am a wiz at electro stuff. :-) Guess my priorities are a bit different than most folks!

So I am a big Erostek fan. The box is a major purchase,not cheap,but you will have a great piece of equipment.

Try going to a site called smartstim.com I spent a great deal of time reading there and those people are great sources for all kinds of ideas/info.

just a suggestion,not sure if you have any electrodes yet....but if you are looking for a butt plug I suggest you get a bipolar plug. The bipolars give the best "fucking" sensation. Single pole anal toys feel very different because of the single side stim and the way the muscles are worked.

Geez I really need to stop I am getting all worked up....poor boy will be in for a good time if this continues!

But this is the best time of the year to get one... We used our California state tax refund to purchase our ET-312 several years back... You are right it's a major purchase but has proven to be one well worth it for us as it sees lots of use.

I have an Erostek 301r and also a Rimba. Here is my opinion on them.
The Rimbe- Mine is 4 years old , so i don't know if they change the method of adjustments. But it is not a bad portable unit. It works nicely, but it has a drawback or 2. It has external knobs to control the intensity (power level), but the adjustments for pulse width, frequency etc are underneath the battery cover. So if you have it clipped to the belt, those adjustments are not easily accessible unless you want to leave the battery cover off and have it fall .I drilled 2 holes in the cover to make them mnore accessible, but even though now i can put a small screw driver in, you cant see what you are adjusting to what level. But if you can set the pulse and frequency to a desired level, and can live with just adjusting the power output with the external knobs, it is a good box especially when you consider it lists for around 120.

Now for the Erostek 301r, this is my favorite, mainly since it has a keychain remote control.Which means my Domme can also use the remote while we are out in public and no one is the wiser as to why my face cringes for no obvious reason at all.
The preprogrammed modes are nice, the training Modes are the ones we use most.When wired to my genitals, and set at power level 35, hitting 3 on the remote puts me on my knees(involentarily) in less than a second. . button 1 is like "pay attention" , button 2 is a sterner pay attention.
I even bought an extra remote and wired it to a computer relay output box and she can control it when she is at her house and i am at mine.
