I wasn't that happy with Joel's maneuvering. I don't dislike him, but I don't like him more than the guy he was trying to oust. And I certainly like Mary more than the gay guy who seemed pretty useless.

Still early in the season though.

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/18/2008 1:10:49 AM)

You could see that Joel was threatened by Mike. His eyes gave him away, just as Mike's gave his dismay away when Mary was voted out. I found it interesting that Joel, after all his maneuvering, voted for Tracey and not Mary. I think he wants to be able to say he honestly did not vote for Mary when Mike askes him about it.

I too think Chet should have gone home. He did horribly in the challenge, and he knew he was a weak swimmer. Or perhaps he is delusional.

Reflectivesoul -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/18/2008 3:36:23 AM)

ok, so I had to go see what the whole attraction to survivor was/is.. so I did the cbs.com thing...
That was brutal *snickers*... Joel is just plain evil, brilliant but evil, I wouldnt be shocked to see him go sometime soon, chet should have gone home as far as I could tell, cause he totally blew it. I think the lady that got the immunity thingy at the start should have given it to mary because she knew what was going on.  The ice cream scooper erik is adorable lol and the lil asian fella is ruthless lol I liked him [:D]

See what y'all did lol created a new survivor junkie lol ( can I get old seasons stuff online to watch? The only one on cbs that I found was this new one)

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/18/2008 8:54:27 AM)

You might be able to order previous seasons, but I am uncertain. I know that each week CBS puts up the new episode after it has aired on the channels.

Reflectivesoul -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/18/2008 5:58:25 PM)

quick,
Thanks, I was able to find some of the older seasons on cbs.com ( helps when you look in the right place lol ) so I watched some of those, china was hella awesome, the reward places... . Only vrappy thing is that you cant get all of the videos for a season, only every other one or so and snippets of the ones in between, and not the finale.. so you get stuck either reading the outcome or watching the reunion show " after the fact".

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/18/2008 6:31:13 PM)

You can order past seasons on Amazon, if you want to.

Hell. Yao Man gets the boot. He is an all time favorite and I am sad to see him go so soon.
I thought that the Favorites would begin to take charge of the game, but the Fans are giving them all they can handle. It's definitely making for a good season so far.
It looks like someone will find an immunity idol next week. Too bad it wasn't Yao Man.

Level -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 3:31:46 AM)

I hate seeing Yao Man go too. Cerie (or however her name is spelled) is now on my shit list.

Yea, me too. I was hoping he would make it a lot farther. As to Cerie (could be spelled right, I'm not sure either), I have never felt comfortable with her. Something just seems off there. I hope one of the fans wins it though, favorites just seemed a bit too cocky so far.

divi -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 5:06:01 AM)

Ciree should of went home last night. She is useless she was on the first show she was on and once again is.

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 5:48:01 AM)

It was definitely an interesting tribal council, and next week may in fact spell the demise of Cirie, if the favourites lose the immunity challenge next week.

The favourites seem to work much harder for rewards than for immunity. I don't quite understand that. I also love how CBS keeps blurring the nakes asses and boobs. Teases. *L* The reward challenge was just a bit violent. That chick who was cracked in the head was lucky to be conscious, methinks.

Reflectivesoul -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 6:46:04 AM)

It sucks to see yau man leave, I figured he'd be around for a while. I think after the bending by cirie she'll be up on the chopping block before long. I wonder how long they'll let James stay in the game... and amanda...

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 4:57:54 PM)

Did anyone see Chet participating in the reward challenge? I don't recall him being a part of the team effort at all ..... hmmmm ....

MzMia -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 8:12:20 PM)

I want to like Cirie, I REALLY want to like Cirie.
But damn it, she made herself a target for no valid reason.
All she had to do is play both sides and keep her mouth shut.

I agree Ciree is a bit threat!
I am not a stellar athlete but Chet is so pathetic, maybe I could make it on Survivor.
Survivor as always is great!
I am loving my OnDemand, I can watch it as much as I like.

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/22/2008 8:33:41 PM)

I have been watching clips over at CBS.com. It is interesting watching what people say as they vote *L*.

They've already had their chance at the million, so they're more oriented towards having a good time and being comfortable around camp. The faorites are more motivated because they stil have that lust for fame.

Estring -> RE: Survivor Fans again (2/29/2008 12:20:35 AM)

Ozzy making a fake immunity idol was a great idea. I sure hope someone finds it and tries to use it. It was hilarious the last time that happened.
It looks like the fans are imploding, but from the previews it looks like the tribes are changing anyway. Should be interesting.
Mikey was blindsided. Definitely a stupid move on the fans part, but it may not make a difference now.
Will Chet be the first contestant to die on the show?

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (3/1/2008 10:20:57 AM)

I saw that they are switching tribes up. I am uncertain if that is good, but I think it is necessary, to keep the fans from going completely bonkers and derailing themselves. For the most part, I prefer the fans to the favourites, though. I still say Chett should have gone home. Sheesh.

I did not see the whole Mikey thing happening, although I guess it makes sense. There are things we simply do not see on a day to day basis in the show.

If they had more in-depth excerpts that you could view online, such as camp life, would any of you watch them? For a different perspective?

Estring -> RE: Survivor Fans again (3/7/2008 10:49:17 AM)

Boy, getting blindsided seems to be the norm now. If Joel had just been a little bit human, he would still be there. Lol.
From the previews it looks like Jonothan may have to leave because of his injured leg. I am always amazed that people don't get hurt more often in this game.

quick -> RE: Survivor Fans again (3/7/2008 5:50:29 PM)

I think they get injured, just not so seriously. That reward challenge was a serious injury waiting to happen. Personally, I think Joel should have simply hoisted Chet in a fireman's carry and chased down the women. But nooooo, he was happier dragging Chet around like a toy, beating him up with every available stump, log, and mouthful of dirt he could manage.

Is it bad that I was kind of sort of laughing, even though I was unamused in some way?

It is simply a case of the older players beating the younger players with mind games. In what universe does a player like Chet, who contributes nothing to his tribe, make it through that many tribal councils? It does sort of confirm to me that our society is losing intelligence at an exponential rate.

I am liking Jonathon this time around, but that infection could be a deal breaker. Although, with a supply of salt water handy, wouldn't that keep the wound clean? I know they are in the jungle though, and perhaps salt water soaking would not help.
