In the name of curiosity (and procrastination [8|]) i ran two searches on CM: Male submissives in South Carolina seeking Dominant Women, and Dominant Women in South Carolina seeking male submissives. South Carolina being a state of 4.3 million or so people.

Submissive men who had logged on to the site in the past three days: 88.
Dominant Women who had logged on to the site in the past three days: 27

Of those 27, five were pros (with cap/boldface/repeated references to their lack of interest in non-paying subs); 1 did not mention being a pro but did mention money at least twice in her profile, 2 seemed to have found submissives but not updated their "looking for", 4 had totally blank profiles, and one was "back in her home country"

So, if one were to strike the pros, the person who is overseas, and one of the "already got mine"'s, we get a nice even 20 available Dommes who are looking at the site regularly as defined by me. (the "freshness" drops off sharply- with 25 profiles per page, profiles at the bottom of page 2 are still waiting to open their Christmas presents!)

With SC having roughly 1.4% of the U.S. population of 300 million, that extrapolates to about 1428 Dommes nationwide (i'll round down the remaining .57 of a Domme for not being "twue" enough).

If it takes about 15 seconds to select a profile, paste in a message, and click "send" (not sure how long the processing takes, since i didn't actually send it) when the site is running at full steam, that would shake out to about six hours to spam all available Dommes. (the select/paste/click actually took less than ten seconds, but i rolled it up to 15 to account for processing time and the new page load every 25 entries)

Of course, operating at that pace, there's no time for weeding anyone out, so we'd have to put our 500 "unavailable" Dommes back in, for two more hours, so now you have to devote a full work day to wooing.

But still, what's 8 hours compared to a lifetime of love? Exactly.

So, in conclusion, if you want to cut down on the amount of form letters you receive, the solution is simple:

Start recruiting all your female friends to join you in the sisterhood of Female Dominance [:)]

Hmmm 4 male subs to every 1 Domme in that state. Given those odds, it shouldn't be that hard for a Domme to find a good one! Or ... is it? How many of those male subs are actually (a) looking? and (b) not "do me!" boys? That might even up the odds (that sounds peculiar LOL!) a bit.

Maam Jay aka violet[A] who thinks petdave might have had a bit too much time on his hands LOL

*giggle*

Thank you..

Perhaps I should do the numbers for my particular neck of the woods, though I might have to expand it to cover the two closest mainland states as well.. I think I might die of shock.

Well, it's interesting, though I highly doubt that recruiting efforts will even the numbers out any.  It also sounds like a bad tactic, since increased numbers wouldn't necessarily decrease the number of form letters sent.  It seems there would just be more form letters to send, and a higher chance of hitting something with the buckshot approach.

Dude, you need a domme and you need one now!  You have entirely too much free time on your hands!  LOL

Seriously, interesting reading, though.

I understand your number crunching...but here is the problem I see: Of the "available Dommes"  - how many are going to respond to the "cut and paste" form letter. I know personally  - I HATE THE FORM LETTERS. To me, I find it completely disrespectful to get an obvious form letter from someone - professing his desire to submit and serve me, when he hasn't even taken the time to read my profile. I guess if you take the approach of  the numbers game - if you throw enough shit up against the wall, evenutally something might stick - but is it quality or quantity you are looking for??

Also - if this is an attempt to get the Dommes to bring more friends into the fold...I would imagine using examples of subs like this would not be the way to do it. It is the sub that does take the time to READ MY PROFILE, write a letter indicating that not only has he done so, but that we have common interests, and then actually takes the step to get out from behind his keyboard to really serve me - that I DO point out to friends, and have several interested in getting into the lifestyle. I already got my mother involved [sm=shake.gif]

Yes, I should definitely recruit more women to be spammed by men so careless, shallow or foolish that they believe that a "lifetime of love" can possibly result from sending out eight hours' worth of cybernetic junk mail.

People who offer nothing, receive nothing.

Actually, i see my solution as approaching the problem from two different angles. First, by increasing the number of messages to send, you increase the time between repeat messages, and increase the odds that the sender will run out of time or die of carpal tunnel before getting to you.

Secondly, if you concentrate on friends who don't haev very high standards, they may eventually take some of the senders "off the market"! [:)]

However, i don't actually recommend mass-mailing of form letters as a way to find a partner... sheesh.

Oh, and for what it's worth, i really don't have very much free time... i just make exceptionally poor use of the time i do have [&:]

Yes, malesubs are at strict disadvantage in the game of musical chairs.

At least we'll never have to worry about setting our mail controls.
