Funny story, there...went for a vasectomy. Made an appointment. Three months later, day before the appointment...I'm rescheduled, for two months later. So I wait. Two months rolls around and three days before the fact I'm resceduled again...for another three month wait. Three months later they called to see why I didn't show up. I told them, "Sorry, I rescheduled my life; I'll get back to you." Sadly, the receptionist didn't appreciate my sense of humour and started up with me. Ultimately this led to me discovering that part of the reasoning behind my constant rescheduling was because "I'm still young and might want more kids". Well, fuck me, I thought that was my call, not theirs, especially since I was 34 at the time and already had kids...so I asked the receptionist if she had her tubes tied. [None of my business, so she told me.] I said bluntly, "If you had more than one kid over the age of 25 and requested your tubes tied, they'd do it right after delivering the second baby [a strange but true practice in Canadian medicine].". She sputtered and hung up. [8D] Greedy likes to be told stories.

gawd, Lumus... I once asked about having my tubes tied ..was told the same thing (I was 37 at the time). I figure, by that age, I'm PRETTY DAMNED SURE that I aint changin' my mind about having kids.. sheesh.

Just as well, since anaesthetic doesn't work on me. I knew it would hurt, but it seemed a reasonable idea...at the time... Greedy's fibbing about her age. She's actually 23.
