ThemisUnderfoot -> Attachment Dominance? (2/8/2008 10:01:58 PM)

Anyone ever think of "attachment Dominance"  Kinda like attachment parenting?? If so what would that look like to you?  and what are the risks and benifits you could see arising?

Nothing new.  Very Old Guard slave training.  But to be done with great respect for the responsibility the Dominant is taking on to make sure that person's (slave's) needs are met, mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

But no matter if it is done "conciously" or not, any D/s relationship creates a level of attachent.  Just as it does in vanilla relationships.

So, I'm not sure if you are just now "seeing" this or you have a different meaning for it.

I have a question before I answer this.  Are you referring to using attachment disorder techniques as you would on an attachment disordered child?  I think this is what you are talking about.

If so... I am honeslty thinking about using this with a bratty slave.  This is a last resort for me.

In my humble opinion based on experience trying to help other subbies at times, it doesn't work out for me.
Some may be able to pull it off, but the average person wants a relationship of their own.
Kind of makes it difficult to hide behind a skirt.
