I have been open to seeking lately by putting my profiles up on alt and bondage, ect.  But, being the realist that I am, I always specify local men.  The other day I get an email from this guy in the next state, dropping me an email on another bdsm site.  Having done the LDR's before this is something I willing to do, and I dropped him a line letting him know thanks for the comments but I believe he is too far from me.
So today I get this in my email:

>.......is a ways away, but I feel if your deserving and sincere, I could make time for you. I will of course require extra special service for my trouble. Are you ready for the challenge to test your worthiness? <

After the laughter I had to think wow, who buys that?  What sort of lines make you roll your eyes back in your head so far you have to shake your head to pop them back into place?

I think these folks are reading too many bad romance novels. Wow, that's cheezy...

You have to realize that 99% of all the people that call themselves dominants online think that 99.9% of all the other online calling themselves dominant are pretenders or abusers.

So it is only natural for him to assume since he thought of you sincere to quickly realize that he might be the only real dominant out there and of course you would need to do something special to show him you are worth the effort. :)

How do you feel, in general, about the other sites?  I've been thinking about putting up profiles just to see if something different than here can be reeled in.  I just don't know if I have time to check in at all of the different sites on a consistent basis.

Both bondage and alt are pay sites, but they do offer a free service.  Bondage used to have an awesome forum site but I haven't been there in over a year.  Alt has a decent chat set up where you can chat with people in your general area, for instance the room I visit is norcal.  As far as meeting people, I have had more luck meeting local people who are interested in my munch, rather than any of the bdsm sites.  So far the most interest I have gotten was from adultfriendfinder.. but that site is set up for people who want an immediate lay.  I pulled out of that one within a week... and about 300 inquiries for easy sex.

Let's say I did buy into this intent.  Why would that "dominant" think that I might believe HE was worth the effort?
This is a two way street.

I often get emails saying I travel there for work often so we could see each other several times per month if it worked out.  I really don't find the neither of us wants to relocate but we can work out the distance thing as appropriate for me.    I definitely wouldn't find "extra service" as an appropriate way of dealing with distance and I have to question what the hell "extra service" would be.  If I'm with someone, what I have to offer as far as "service" is on the table, always, how in the hell could there be "extra"?  What does "extra service" mean?

"Why do you deserve the privilege to call me Sir?" or ect.
I usually reply with "I don't actually want to do anything for you, or with you, or address you, I don't even know you. What makes you think you're worth MY time?"  Then they call me un-sub-like and I thankfully receive no more messages from them.

I have tried both the other sites as paying and non...when non, it seems that there is not alot available, when people respond to you you cant even look at their whole profile, and since I don't do chat rooms, I can't answer about those.

It's nearly universal for subs to seek external approval and to live to someone else's standards.  Someone new, someone just wanting to be accepted, someone dying for an ounce of validation...very easily could fall into even an obvious trap as that.

Katy,

My Sir and I met on bondage.com.  I actually didn't have a profile, but he had his yahoo email in his essay portion (collarme's description portion).   Bondage was recently bought out by Hustler or Playboy or something, and the boards seemed to have died a bit.  I will say however that the mail we recieve on bondage is usually much more coherent and thought out than some of the crap we get here.

I have to completely agree with Amadeus.....
Prove my what to you?  I may be a sub but that's doesn't equate to stupid or doormat.

See that's when I would go "No. That's why I sent you a message going 'Thanks but no thanks'. Cause I'm not interested in you. However, if you would like to prove your worthiness as a dominant, I can provide you with a PO box and some websites that carry the pretties I like. Up to the challenge?".

Your post is nonsense, you are on here soliciting, you allege submission so do as the male dominant told you to do.
Bette yet get on your knees and type an apology immediately. Beg his forgiveness and send him ten pictures of your tits and clit, oh yea, five of your ass too so he will be ready for the piercing he is going to do when he allows you to visit him.
Now run along child and head my advice.
