LadybugBlue -> Story of O/Roissy Dress? (2/10/2008 9:35:36 PM)

Hallo A/all!  While I know there are a variety of thoughts/opinions on the Story of O (the book), My question is in regards to the gowns worn by the women at Roissy in the book.  I love how they are described, but in my searches online, I've only found one site that sells dresses inspired by those, but they are not very cannon.  I am hoping to get one for myself for when I feel subby and possibly one for my puppy for her collering ceremony, but I would rather not have to sew both of them if possible.  Does anyone know where I could find dresses made to look like the ones in the book?

My carissa has a Story of O dress. It was made by our friend Kilandra. Kilandra has made many dresses for people in the local community. She is setting up a website right now but it is not completely ready. Still it is the best way to contact her. http://www.get-teased.ca/KK.html
She can show you pictures of the dress. (probably one being worn by carissa)
I make sterling silver "Story of O" buttons for her to use on some of the dresses.

Are you talking about the books or are you talking about the book by Doris Kloster?

The real dresses can be found at www.odress.de - which is not the same as the website metioned above.

Have fun

I've seen this dress, but it isn't like what is described in Pauline Regae's version of the story....

I make costumes.. and I am drooling.. very very nice.

I have the O book here some where.. and I forget just now the dress.. but these are very nice. My limited knowledge of German is paying off.

Historicaly.. they are very simular to the Ventian half nipple gowns that the courtesans wore. If you watch the movie "Dangerous Beauty" in the very opening there are many examples of these style of gowns on the Courtesans. I have one planned for myself.
