And really, here in lies the rub with WIIWD. There's a tennant among Real Time players that says "Everyone's kink is ok, even if it may not appeal to me."

This is not something I would ever engage in. I'm not much of a medical player to begin with, and this is something that I would consider in that vain. However, it can and is done by a variety of skilled people. As Mr. Warren said, this is not something you should pick up by reading something on the internet and believe you are ready to do. Same goes with knife play and fire play in my opinion (I'm talking about actual fire play, not cupping).

If this couple wants to do this, it's really not our job to say it's dangerous, sick, or anything else of that matter. It's our job to hopefully talk them into finding the resources they need to do this in a safe, sane, consensual manner.

OP - give it all ya got - I'm relatively new to BDSM, but a few years ago had a bunch of stuff pierced. Now, granted that's a LITTLE different than nailing things to a board - point being though, if you're a painslut, and you can keep the wounds clean, there's actually not too much that can go wrong, if the strike is positioned right. Piercing was probably one of the biggest gateways for me into this. And now I love pain. Kudos on learning first. My Master isn't comfortable with peircing me himself as it's been too long since he did it, so we chose to go to a piercer for the rest of them. Perhaps having someone trained show you on a model? Or another slave...

So according to that tenant among "real timers", involving children and those not consenting would be ok as well? After all for them, that is "their kink", and while it doesn't appeal to everyone, that tenant would dictate it is "ok". What a bunch of crap.

Personally, you couldn't pay me to participate in nailing any part of my body to a board, but in this instance, I DO believe that it is "your kink, not mine" and as long as all the necessary precautions are done, your business what you do. The risk with nailing your tits to a board, however, is NOTHING like the risk of anal sex, and you are not looking at a "small" chance that something will go wrong. The chance of something going wrong, given the inexperience of you both is pretty large. But it is your risk to take.

I'm actively employed in the medical field (emergency medicine)...

and I'd have to say that if you're determined to do this, almost everything that's been said here is true:
infection (cellulitis, staph infections... necrotizing staph too!),
permanent nerve damage,
permanent ghost pains (from nerve irritation/damage),
and of course the proverbial syncopal episode (passing out)
then due to gravity unless you are secured (and I mean really well...) your body will slough a bit and tear away from the nailing and possibly leave you (at the least) with a tear...

have you tried getting pierced first... using the piercings to attach to carabeaners, eye hooks, nails, etc...

a piercing will give you a vague idea of what you'd be expecting (in pain)... but the nails would add a new level of pain...

also, i'd watch out for allergic reactions to the chemicals used to treat the nails...

please... as much as i like to give and receive pain (not to that level) remember that your first priority is you... and his should be for you, as your domme... but again i'm extremely new to this scene so i can't speak as a domme (yet!!)

Oh lord.. what a concept. i'm not much into the edgy side of SM, but i say more power to y'all. Even if Your Master were home (saying a prayer that he and all the others will be soon), i think it's great that you're doing research on this particular idea, especially since there's so much involved. i'm a firm believer that, as in 'most' things, education is the key to knowing what You're doing, how to do it, and how to be safe. i also know that often things aren't always what we first think of them, i.e., the first time i had mouse traps attached to my labia, i almost freaked out, until i realized i could hardly feel em, much less felt any pain..lol.

One side note..thanks for helping me add yet another item to my limits list. Y'all all have much better imaginations that i do..lol..

This actually brought my mind to a visual of the EXPLAINATION to the ER doc as to what you did & why.

First and foremost consider this:

1. Go to a jeweler and have special nails made of surgical steel. Once sterilized these nails will not enduce infection. Surgical steel is what piercers use for their trade. If you are bound and determined to do this, be safe about it. Besides, who is to say once you are completely healed the act will not repeat / happen again.

2. When nailing flesh to a board two very important issues come to mind immediately:

The first being where will the board be - if it were me, I would be sure the board is nailed to a wall before the actual nailing you to the board begins. You are going to need support and sturdiness to be sure his piercings are not jagged. Also, you do not want the weight of the board hanging from your nipples once completed.

In the process of the hammering your flesh to the board it is very important that your Master remember what it is like trying to get a nail out of a wall once it has been hammered flush. Be sure your nipples are not hammered flush! THERE MUST BE A MINIMUM of the width of the claw of the hammer between the nail and your nipple in order to remove the nail without taking chunks of flesh with it. Aside from that, any more pressure will probably be completely un-endurable by the time he removes the board.

Also, you are a fucking idiot, soon to be a nippleless idiot, saying, "Damn! Maybe I shouldn't have done that!"

Wow! I must admit that while this is not something that I would ever desire or consent to do, I read your suggestions with the "gee, wonder if they thought about how to get the fucking things out".
