It won't set them off.  Take it from someone who is pierced 5 places.  I flown several times and although I worried, it never occured.
A plastic lighter with metal around the top part is more likely to set them off.  And THAT I have been busted for.  *chuckle*

i had curved barbells in my nipples and that set them off...wasnt wearing any other metal at the time (not even underwires) so i know that was what did it.  embarassed the poor girl doing the wanding more than it did me!

SO Wierd / funny!!!  I have TONS of metal in me..........  None ever set the detectors off............ have been on a few flights...........  maybe its just were I live and how "sensitive" the detectors are????
