I AM SO PROUD OF MY MASTER! ! ! We have been talking amongst ourselves about the hurricane Katrina victims and wondering about some of their plights and such, and I expressed a desire to help some out, after all we have two rooms that are not being used, and Master agreed, but than we have talked of the financial resposiblility and the liability issues and many other aspects of the whole thing, I did a websearch to see what info I could find on it and at that time not a whole lot, Well the whole thing sort of was dropped and we discussed the whole issue but nothing really specific. Well before going to work today he looked up the red cross number, called them from work, was given an email addy to contact, so he did, plus he has contacted the two tv stations here and has been given somemore infor. Guess what blew my mind is that he never gave up on the idea, and it was something that really was bothering me, the inability to help out others, but I didn't realize he was still turning it around in his head.
So the question is, How many of you thought a given subject had been put on the back burner, so to say, to never be thought of again, only to be resurrected by the other partner and acted on?
I hope that I was clear on this, but I am so excited and hope that we can get something worked out, that not sure am even thinking straight, LOL. We are hoping to get someone from the Biloxi, Ms area. (Perhaps someone of the Lifestyle) But it doesn't really matter, just so we can help someone out.
Sorry just had to share and if this doesn't belong here, please move it, Thank you

Good read; and a good point too. I'm in the ABQ area of central New Mexico. Turns out there are over 1000 homeless victims of Katrina that have been brought here for help. I understand that there are families being sent all over the country, not just in the South. I'm contacting the Red Cross here to see what we can do since our daughter has moved out.

To answer the main question, Yes that has happened to me. I 'bounced something off of my Sub' once just in passing and she remembered it and made it happen for me about 7 weeks later. I was real proud of her for that.

Isn't that so neat? Whenever I get to doubting myself and all that I do, Master always knows it seems, what to do to make me feel better about the situation. Today we sat holding hands, while watching the Montel Williams show and his take on what is going on. There are still so many needing help and comfort, needing to connect with love ones, one woman's 14 yr old left with his grandma and grandpa and the mom hasn't heard from any of them.
But it is really special when our S.O. remember and do special things for us, I just hope that I can find a way to let him know how much I appreciate the extra effort he is doing. By the way we did visit the colleseum here in jackson, where they plan on shipping those there to other shelters only to be told they don't do that there, then was given a number that turned out to be a sex chat line. LOL wonder how many got the shock of their lives on that one, so master called a battered womans shelter and they gave him 3 shelters in the area to contact now waiting to hear from them.

Not exactly on topic, and it may have been mentioned in another thread but http://hurricanehousing.org/ (a project of MoveOn.org) has a program where you can offer housing to stranded Katrina victims.

Thank you Mod one, that will help will check it out, here is another one we have found, shareyourhome.org but we have questions and want to talk with someone first and with this site you just fill in a form, saw the redcross at the metro center in Jackson and they said they didn't handle that there when asked if they had a list of shelters and numbers they didn't have that there, how are they helping lost love ones find other lost love ones if they don't have a list of shelters to get them started in their search? Anyway Master called a local battered womans shelter and THEY gave him names and numbers to call so we are at this moment waiting for a call from one of them. but am going to check out your site thanks again
