ORIGINAL: Alumbrado quote:
Here's the whole quote in context, instead of the one sentence snippet used, which is a lame approach, when the answer to the objection was in the very next sentence. Why do people do that? Just to argue or what. I think that it is incredible that the "officers" are just suspended. What would happen to me if I threw a officer to the ground and broke two of his ribs on tape. I'd be in jail for years, not suspended. This is so open and shut. All those people lose job immediately, and charged for assault and battery(ANSWER). quote:
I think that it is incredible that the "officers" are just suspended. What would happen to me if I threw a officer to the ground and broke two of his ribs on tape. I'd be in jail for years, not suspended. This appears to have happened last month, and being suspended from their job during an investigation isn't the final consequence, it is routine. And if you were accused of such a crime, you would be given the due process you want to deny these jailers, you would not be put directly in jail for years. That's ridiculous, I never said they should be thrown in jail immediately. I said they should be fired immediately and charged with assault. The immediately word if you notice is only used in conjunction with the fired word. Also charged is different than convicted indicating a formal process would need to take place before removal of any of their rights. If I for example, work at any retail location,or any bank,or any factory, or nearly any place I can think of and while on camera, threw an officer to the ground and broke two of his ribs would I not be fired immediately. The evidence is 100% clear as day here, with the video. Now, going to jail sure, that requires a process, the job part doesn't. A job is not a right therefore requires much less evidence to remove. Therefore it is 100% rational when given video tape evidence that shows beginning to end the assault that a removal should take place in hours not months. Okay, I'll let them have a day.
