Anyone remember Eddie Money? My Dom and I got back from Vegas today. Great trip. We went to see Elton John perform. At the last moment we saw Eddie Money was also performing.
Elton was great. Never seen him in concert before. Saw him at Ceasars. Nice place. A bit overpriced but then again hey it was Ceasars.
Saw Eddie Money at the Silverton Casino. A small 700 person capacity venue. Maybe 400 people showed up. There is something to be said for small intimate concerts. Not having followed his career since the cassette age I forgot how many hits he had.
After the show he signed autographs...it was just a great experience. I recommend it to anyone if given the chance.

Certainly, Eddie had some great Hits and some have become equally great classics.

Two Tickets to Paradise
Take Me Home Tonight (be my little baby, hehe!)
Baby Hold On
Shakin'

I would love to hear Eddie play a smaller venue, and happy you were able to enjoy him in a more intimate setting. I used to travel to Ft Worth TX often for business and was fortunate to have seen Roy Orbison perform there in a small venue a few months before his death, and it was indeed a wonderful experience.

Which Eddie song listed above is your favorite, lol, tough choice, eh!

InYouAgain,
I'd have to say my favorite song from above is either Wanna Go Back or Gimme Some Water.

Yeah, yeah I know those were'nt in your list. But he had a lot of hits if you look back at his career.

Although I bought a CD from him at the concert, (actually handed him the money) I like a lot of those new songs as well. I had pretty much totally forgotten about him. I've never sat and chat with someone like that at a concert before. It was definately something I'd like to do again.
Just have to keep my eyes and ears open.

I've seen him perform about 3 more times at smaller venues since I first started the thread.
Somehow after all these year's seeing him in a smaller venue and getting to sit around...chat with him. I've become a bigger fan than ever before.

Same with Bryan Adams...seen him a few weeks ago.

lucky girl!!

I have only seen Eddie twice and Bryan Adams once, I go to my local watering hole (The Vat) and see someone usually once or twice a week. Wide Mouth Mason, Wil, and once Nickelback came as a surprise... usually though it is more local artists. Still the music is great and you get to talk with them and share stories so it's fun.

That's good as well. Everytime we go to Vegas now I check out that Casino. We also have LOTS of local indian casino's out here. So, I'm always on the search for whatever talent they have.

The people who did "I think we're alone now" Just did a free show here on the 4th of July. Can't think of their names. I know Tiffany redid it poorly in the 80's and it was a huge hit for her.

By the ay there is a petition to get Eddie in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame.
I have no idea how many signatures he needs.

Anyway, details can be found at eddiemoney.com
