Do you ever get the feeling that certain people post certain types of posts just to watch everyone's response.
Basically, they are doing it for "shits and giggles".  Sitting there, perhaps even knowing some of you, and watching the guppies take the bait?
Do you ever get that feeling?

I admit, when I read through the responses on some of the posts I suspect.....I get quite a few laughs myself.
And, I might be prone to reply to something that was pretty funny. [:D]

Hell ya.  It is a forum and for people that watch the boards they want some action to speed everthing up.  I dont agree with it when someone does the poor litlte me bit over and over which I have seen and sometimes things get a little boring because the same questions get posted over and over but the ones that are like "I was thinking.... " can be very thought provoking.  Some of the things that I find iritating about the boards is that you very rarely hear what the results are for all the advice that people give and the constant sub fear of wankers.... I mean come on. Its a dating/ lifestyle site.... anyone looking for wanking material here has got to be desperate because there are so many free sites out there where people can look at porn all day so I think people are a little over the top on that one and frankly I refuse to recognize it or allow it to effect my posts.

Oh definitely they do it lol, long time posters under a secret new ID just to watch the fun as well as just posting from their main ID to see how long it takes someone to catch on to the intent behind a post. I either reply or not depending on my mood as well as what, if anything, I can contribute be it humor or serious.

I would say that 90% of the questions posted in this forum could be answered by a little "googling" or (god forbid) searching previous posts.  However, I do have a lot of fun reading the snarky responses to the "wanking" and other "looking for a reaction" posts.

occasionally I will post something to get a reaction, but then I consider shock value and the like to be not only amusing, but useful.

My favorite form of the planted post is one in which the OP wants a pity party and then gets mad when people don't oblige.  There are days when I find those me-me-me threads funny.

Yes, it's the blatent "looking for a reaction" post that I'm talking about.  And then some people take it so seriously and I wonder......................................

And don't forget the postings that are directed towards a specific person. There are some people that have nothing better to do than to "try" and instigate trouble. I enjoy the humorous and thought provoking threads the most.
