I have found quite a few intellectual and humorous posters here.  And, some of the best posts aren't even in the Community Forums.  That seems to be where most of the planted posts (at least the ones I suspect)  are to be found.

Never said there was anything wrong with it.  I get a kick out of reading some of the responses myself.  I just brought it up because I sometimes think, due to the obvious nature of the post (at least to me) and some of the responses to it, that this may not have occured to some people.  Believe it or not.

Some of us are newbies, and naive, and take ourselves all too seriously, and we believe in the sincerity of others. We live and bloody well learn that sarcasm is alive and well on the boards. I approach all topic threads gingerly now, watching to see the reaction of other, more seasoned posters, before contributing my meager opinion.

Not that I won't answer them.
Sometimes even seriously, just in case.
But...
In fact, I remember a poster a while back whose name begins with 'taken' bragging about how some friends of hers started a fake thread just to see how long it would take certain people to post with their serious (and conflicting) answers.
I wish the mod hadn't taken down the thread that I think this one originated from though.
That was FUN!

In the Chicago Reader...It's a paper available in Chi as well as other larger cities that holds articles of local and national interests, nightlife, bands , dining out etc....Things going on in the city.
