Status: offline 		When discussing my allergies with my Dr yesterday, when I said I was allergic to iodine he laughed and said thats because you are a redhead. Are there others  that this is true for as well ?

Status: offline 		Um.....i'm a redhead....not allergic to iodine....they may have a higher propondency (sp?) for an allergic reaction...but i don't think it's a "given"

Status: offline 		im a red head and im allergic to it and very much so.  having it on my arm put me in the hospital for 3 days with the most lovely oozing blisters from shoulder to mid forearm.....shudder......

that was nearly 30 years ago and i can remember every gory detail-i constantly tell my doctors im allergic since hits such a common thing they use for certain procedures.

Status: offline 		Yes something you  dont forget ... I  remember panicing when about to  deliver C-section seeing  my  whole belly coated with it  and loosing it ...  I dont even want to  think about what could have happened


This to me is an important thing to know because of possible cleaning of even slight wounds during and after a scene

Gives me the willies to think of povidone-iodine douches (* youch! *)
