SSGoddess -> Domme (9/14/2005 12:07:43 AM)

I would like to ask how do you know if your a Domme or just a very bossy woman? It seems to me a lot of the woman on here that seem to be domimnant are trying to avoid calling themselves Dommes. I am new to this and know that I have always thought myself better than a man and also have a very caring nature. I think this has come about because of my background.

I ask this with respect for everyone. Thanks to everyone who has commented.

MistressBasia -> RE: Domme (9/14/2005 1:41:22 AM)

My personal experience is of course subjective,
I´m a Domme in private and professional life, and i found most bossy womena i know are more in the slave section then in the Domme section.
My personal opinion is that dominant women do not need to shout, yell and show off, the presence and selfesteem of a dominant person always show through. You will never see me yell or push anybody,I do nt need to. Hope to help you

I'm a dominant woman. I am a Domme to the one who is my boy but in general I'm not bossy. I'm more... convincing ;-)

I'm a pretty original, and one-of-a-kind type lady, but have to say, while I don't plagiarize, I've been reading a lot of comments here that I just have to use.

I love this..."I'm more...convincing." Gotta steal THAT line! [:D] Thanks, LA.

I've never self identfied as a "Domme," although I certainly possess a VERY dominant personality, and identify more as a "Top," I tend to view Dommes as women that have concern and care for those around them, while the Bossy lady is only concerned with her self, and steps on others to get satisfaction. The Dommes I know are usually at least somewhat interested in mutually agreeable arrangments that will benefit both (or all) parties involved. The bossy one, is ONLY concerned with themselves, and getting ahead. And of course the "Dom" is only concerned with "getting" head. [sm=lol.gif] <just kidding, of course...or not>

(My reply is in regard to the identified roles of submissive or dominant)

I believe that dominance is an inherent trait, not a learned attribute. I believe the same about those that identify as submissive.

As to being bossy... that does not reflect dominance. There are many high powered career types that gladly surrender to dominant partners.
