I mark easier from some things and than others. I enjoy cupping for the marks. We are more careful where I might mark if I am going to see my family. For teaching I can cover nearly anything with turtlenecks or shawls. Any other place, I wear my marks with pride and if they are visible, let people wonder. If I get bruised, that usually lasts about a week, though I have had them take 3 to heal, depending. red welts from crops, canes and the like usually take about a week to heal as well. I had scars from knife play that lasted for four months. I love looking at any marks while they last. I have noticed for me that if we do impact play with canes and crops and it seems like I will mark, then he hits me with a broader, flatter implement, such as a tawse, it somehow diffuses the "damage" and I don't mark. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. ExSteelAgain, I wonder if our bodies get used to the healing we expect from them and mark less if we are played with on a regular basis. I used to mark fairly easily and I don't anymore.
