on chat to change nick is /nick (newnick) to perform an action is /me (action) such as /me is singing .
edited to add: even if you enter the chatrooms here and not on Mirc(which can be downloaded at mirc.com and will let you to a gazillion other servers in addition to www.collarme.com), if you to to mirc.com they have an area of common commands that will be very helpful. You will have to add collarme to the list of servers there, but if you have problems, feel free to pm me. I have not looked on the chatroom page here recently, but when someone griped the other day, I looked on irc and there were 34 rooms, and I don't think the page holds that many here, but they are all on the collarme server. I have a channel on BDSMNet, there are many servers on irc(and some like my channel on that server even offer downloads, lol). Feel free to pm me if you need any help doing any navigating.
