I'll admit that I will sometimes find it hard not to smirk if someone walks into a glass door or something. Especially if someone has just gone out the same door in front of them. I'd probably keep from laughing outright until I knew they hadn't broken their nose.
But as far as celebrities are concerned... I just couldn't give a rat's arse. I have no interest in their business, problems and meltdowns. In many cases I probably can't even be arsed to care about them for whatever they're famous for. I'm tired of having them on the television and in the news. I'm tired of them being what's "newsworthy". Tabloids are a waste of space and time. And anyone reading them has got to be losing bits of their brain. It's all a bunch of rubbish.
I am likewise of the opinion that most of the local 'news' is also utter crap. High speed chase because some idiot has done something wrong and thinks driving from the police is a novel idea. More celebrity crap! And reports of gang related violence. Oh yes, and the weather will be nasty, once again. Of course it will! This is SoCal. We get hot, hot, hotter still and a bit of random rain. You needn't be a meteorologist in this area to prepare for the coming day.
How about something a bit more uplifting? How about something about the organization that raised X-amount of dollars for some charity fund? How about the local guy making good who gives back to the people who supported him and made it all possible by keeping him OUT of a gang?
And people look at me as though I've gone nuts when I say I don't watch the nonsense, posing as news, that clutters the air waves these days.
I really shouldn't write replies when it's going on two in the morning.
