Owner4SexSlave -> Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/17/2008 11:57:02 PM)

My girl was making jokes (1/2 serious) about me caging her when she's out of control and being bad.   She actually went about detailing the type of cage she had in her mind.   Steel Puppy Cage, painted red and the bars lined with rubber.

Since I been back home now, I've tried to do a little researching looking for cages with rubber lined bars.  Basically bars that are/have been wrapped in some type of rubber.  No luck on finding such a cage.

Anybody have an ideas on where to find such a cage or go about making one like this?  Anybody have an creative ideas, or seen a cage like this before?

Never seen a cage like that (yum).  Could you use pipe sleeves...a neoprene like wrap for pipe insulation?

I make custom cages among other things. What you are looking for is dooable, depending on how hard you want the surface on the bars to be?

Double yum, cause it's needs to be something to withstand a little teeth biting, not too hard on the teeth yet not too easy to tear or rip either.

Then real rubber is the only way to go neopreme or rubber like coatings will tend to tear easily. Depending on the rubber used will depend largely on your budget. Standard bars are hollow, premium bars are not. The cost is considerable higher. if you wan to use  fence wire instead of 1/2 bars rubberizing them is not easy plastic coating them with  vinyl coating is dooable but it depends on what you want to spend to get the end product.

If you have a design in mind, let me know.

My Lady loves cages so I want to build a cage with soft walls. It will have a solid top and bottom with webbing material on the sides like you find on rachet straps sewn together like a net. It will fold flat and roll under the bed for storage. To assemble it just pull it out from under the bed, lift the top up and a leg will fold down in each corner and your done. An inch of memory foam on the floor of the cage and another on top for comfort. the top will be a bondage table to tie me to as My Lady loves keeping me restrained.   Dainty.

Nice, I build on occasion something similar to that, except I use a thick rope that is interlaced like you see on a old sailing ship. I have made three of those,  I am working on a new bed cage for my two slaves now. I can both tie them up on or let them sleep on on top and or cage them underneath it will have a lot of hard wood in the building of this cage. Hanging chain cages are nice, fairly straight forward. I once built a 5 foot diameter bird cage. It took me almost two months to build it and a forklift to move it.

How bout just going to Home Depot or your local home improvement store and buying rubber hosing.  They have hosing made of several different types of materials, sizes, and thicknesses.  Take your pick.  You cut it to the length of the bar, slice it down the length of the piece and wrap it around the bar.  Simple enough.  You can then wrap it at the top, bottom, and maybe middle of each bar with a little duct tape if you feel the need to in order to keep it on.
Probably a whole lot cheaper too!!

TheGorenSociety -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 4:38:45 AM)

I have tried that, the problem  is most of the time the pipe is too large or too small,if you get lucky it does work .I have tried almost all of the various HI stores  wares and for long term use I use real rubber hosing that fits pretty well. Will last for ever under these conditions. The foam insulation piping will only work, if you have no abrasion on them. If you come up with some thing else I would love to hear about and try it out.

Domgmr, do you have a website?

ThinkingKitten -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 6:47:13 AM)

Try a scientific supply place such as Fisher Scientific (look online). They have thick laboratory grade rubber hosing of varying sizes which you can buy by the roll.

Cargo net fastened to a frame dude.  Opens by hinging up from the base-and no amount of bouncing around inside is going to leave a lot of bruising-unlike anything rigid, no matter how well padded.

A rubber covered bar is still just a rabber covered bar-there is no give.

McMaster-Carr is a much better place for supplies. Go here: http://www.mcmaster.com/ and search for rubber. You'll get all shapes, sized and types. Some of it even has adhesive backing.

There is a rubber fluid that can be put on surfaces and it hardens, multi colored, can find it at local hardware.

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 9:22:04 AM)

Wow, thanks for this website.  I'm looking at Durometer charts right now.  Basically it's the measurement of the hardness of rubber.  I'm not certain what is the ideal Durometer of the rubber I'm looking for yet.   Somewhere between Shore OO  35-90.  Basically between Racquet Ball to Tire Tread strength.   Shore 00 20 is basically Chewing Gum.

You have any idea of the brand name of that stuff?  Would love to read up or check it out.

vagabonddom -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 9:39:52 AM)

It sounds like Tool Dip and can be found at most hardware stores.  We wrap our cane handles with string and then dip in Tool Dip to make a nice looking grip.

LadyLolly -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 9:54:07 AM)

Liquid Latex can also be found in craft and hobby supply stores

DesFIP -> RE: Cages with rubber lined bars? (2/18/2008 10:15:34 AM)

Tool Dip would work but it shouldn't be injested, so I'm not sure about it standing up to biting.
