I am using all the typical sites, and I am getting so annoyed with my search. The property has to allow large dogs, that's not negotiable. and I've already looked at rentalhomes.com they don't have what I want.

did you try Craigs List as well?  They usually have tons of places for rent listed, homes as well as duplexes and apartments.

No Sweet, not yet. Thanks for reminding me. There was one place  on another site, that was a sweet deal but, they're processing an application already.

Me too. It's tireing though, and we've already had to fill the car up twice this week and  the more money we waste on gas, the less we'll have to put towards moving in.

Have you put an ad in? Try putting your own ad Seeking Rental w/ your specifications.Have you tried a rental agency or your local realtors?

Sorry...it's probably the developer in me but....you asked for "rental home sites"....are you looking for some properly zoned dirt to build an apartment complex....or are you trying to rent a place?

I have a broker friend near there. Catch me on the other side. Maybe he can steer you in the right direction.

Call the local real estate firms advertised under rental property management.  They have a lot of properties (at least locally) that never hit internet sites, and they can go through their inventory with your specs and see if they have anything in one fell swoop.

I called century 21, the listings didn't have any websites, where I could go tour the place online first, they did have 4 listings that were what price range I wanted. Well she said they were listed on craigs list but I never found them.

It'd be nice to be able to see the place online if the site listed pictures. forgot to mention it in my original.

you know www.com type places, where you go and you look at all the homes they're offering for rent in your affordable price range.

While it's true to be nice to see them online, let me tell you..I am a Licensed Broker, and some people take good pictures of crappy places, and some take crappy pictures of good places.  If you are already spending gas, I know there has to be more than Century 21, like Coldwell Banker, etc. look in the phone book and get all the names and call them.,  YOu can do that in a day.  After you get the addresses sit down that night with a map, and write them on a sheet of paper in the most efficient way to drive by.  If they are vacant you can look in windows.  Then hit them all in one day you can't look online for.  You will save a shitload of gas, because you can make one concerted efficient itinerary, and have more available, since the ones online have been picked over anyway.

Google came up with the following:

www.rent.com

http://www.rentals.com/California/Sacramento/

http://www.sacrentals.com/

http://www.rentalhouses.com/find/CA/NortheastCalifornia/SACRAMENTO-YOLO/

http://www.rentalhouses.com/find/CA/NortheastCalifornia/SACRAMENTO-YOLO/

http://www.rentalhouses.com/find/CA/NortheastCalifornia/SACRAMENTO-YOLO/

http://www.sacramentorent.net/

http://www.mpm4rent.com/

Oh yeah, and I have a house in foreclosure in Auburn (thanks to the divorce) for sale for cheap if interested, lol.  3 BR, 2 BA on 1/4 acre....(gotta try where I can, lol)

W've done that with other apartments, one time nobody told the manager we'd be showing up, so instead of coming strait back we looked at all the apartments on that block. We did that today too. The one we wanted to see didn't qualify at all as far as quality we were looking for, so we checked out four others on the street. That is a good plan of attack so to speak.

Looking to sale or rent? We're only able to rent.

TY I did look at some of those sites, one of them had listings but it's double what we can afford. Max we wanted to go was 1 thoughsand and most the homes were 1150 or 1440 or on and on. But I will look:D

Not renting the house.  It either sells or the bank takes it back.

I doubt you will find a house for $1,000.  An apartment, yes, a house will be difficult.

owned there's quite a few duplexes and condo's for less than 1 k. I found some nice potentials on some of the linksyou posted that I hadn't seen before. I'm after a 2 bedroom one bath. there was a 4 bedroom 3 bath for 900. course 4 bed 3 bathroom is overkill.
